Choosing J&L as our caterer was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From the moment we walked into our tasting, we knew we were in the right hands. Everything was personalized and thoughtfully tailored to us - not just the menu, but the entire experience. They listened, adapted, and made us feel like our vision truly mattered. A special shoutout to Gabby, who was an absolute dream to work with. She was attentive, warm, and incredibly organized, making sure every detail aligned with exactly what we wanted. Her communication and care gave us so much confidence throughout the planning process. On our wedding day, unexpected weather forced us to shift parts of the schedule at the last minute, and J&L handled it with total grace. They were flexible, calm, and ready for anything, which gave us such a sense of ease during a moment that could have been stressful. Their professionalism and kindness shined through in every interaction. And the food - wow. Our guests are still talking about it months later. We heard so many people say it was the best wedding meal they’ve ever had and that they wished they could have it again. The rave reviews haven’t stopped, and honestly, we feel the same way. We’re already hoping to enjoy J&L’s food again for a future anniversary because we loved it that much. J&L delivered exceptional service, unforgettable food, and genuine care from start to finish. We used J&L catering for our wedding on 10/17/25 at Rockwell on the River. Karly and the whole team were AMAZING. They were a pleasure to work with, so responsive and worked with us on everything we were looking for, from cocktail hour to dinner, to dessert. Everything was perfect! I would definitely recommend them to any of my friends getting married in Chicago.
J&L Catered our wedding on 10/11. My wife and I could not be happier with our decision to work with them. From the initial tasting on, we knew we were in good hands. Our event consultant, Evelyn, was so knowledgeable and detail oriented throughout the 8 months we had the privilege to work with her. She put our minds at ease any time we were stressed and proved it with how seamless the J&L service was. The apps, entrees and drinks were just as they were at our tasting and the service was so professional and courteous. You cannot go wrong with this company!
J&L did such a perfect job catering our wedding. Every person there came up to us and told us how much they loved the food during cocktail hour and dinner. The menu was fun and creative but still so approachable for everyone. The entire planning process was so much fun and we really couldn't have done it all with Gabby. Gabby had so many amazing ideas for how we could elevate the menu and it really set the entire tone for our wedding. If you are looking for someone who is going to put a lot of thought and effort into your menu, J&L is the way to go. We can not recommend them enough, J&L was absolutely amazing!!
We love J&L! Working with Kyle and Alex (and the rest of the J&L team) was such a highlight of our wedding planning experience, and we got so many compliments from our guests on the delicious food! We had a vision of doing late night munchies of Wings from Jake Melnick's and they went above and beyond to not only attain our wings, but to create us a whole wing tossing station that we and our guests loved! Cannot recommend them enough!
