Jawbreaker Boxing est une salle de boxe accueillante et professionnelle à Raleigh, en Caroline du Nord, dédiée à favoriser une communauté de soutien pour tous les niveaux de compétence. Sous la direction d’entraîneurs expérimentés tels que Remy, la salle propose un entraînement personnalisé qui pousse les limites tout en préservant une ambiance familiale. I was extremely anxious and nervous joining this gym simply because it was out of my comfort zone. I specifically wanted to train with the owner, Remy because I knew he’d be a complete hard ass and push me past the limits I gave myself. So far he has not disappointed. The staff are BEYOND friendly and as a woman I was also apprehensive about how the crowd would be seeing as this is a male dominated sport. Not once have I been made to feel uncomfortable or “talked down to”. Shannon at the front desk made me feel at home and she even talked me down when I tried to psych myself out of joining. She walked me through the entire membership process and was just a joy to chat with especially being right at the front to greet you. Ladies if you were nervous or scared, 10/10 recommend. All the trainers are absolutely amazing and uplifting but will also give you that push you need.
I would recommend anyone to come to Jawbreaker. They’re absolutely amazing people it feels more like a family than anything. Very professional, pleasant and supportive people. I am glad that my son can have role models to look up to such as Remy, John and Shawn. I can’t forget about Ms. Shannon as well, she’s a very nice lady she gives me auntie vibes for sure.
Coach Remy is a wonderful coach. I survived a whole hour of a boxing class. I've had asthma since I was 15 years old. Remy was patient and really pepped me up. He modified some of the hard stuff for me too. Love it here!
Always have been interested in boxing and decided to check this gym out. I went for a free trial and worked with coach remy, by far the best boxing gym in the area. Very welcoming and helpful with teaching. Coach Remy is very patient with you and explains the boxing sequences great. He even told me to come another day to do another session. Overall definitely the best gym in the area, very welcoming and technical gym.
Joined this gym when I moved here a month ago from out of state. Was great at first and while a lot of the staff and other members are great, I did have a class with the owner that made me not want to come back. He became obviously easily irritated if I wasn’t picking up on something that he was explaining to me and it made me very uncomfortable. I decided not to return after that class with him as I felt incredibly anxious and had 0 confidence or desire to return because who would want to take a class when people are getting upset with you for not catching on? With that being said, I called about cancelling, which I was told to send an email, which I did, and heard nothing back. Figures because the withdrawal date was coming up. Mind you I have not even been a member there a full month yet. I have called multiple times got no answer, sent another email no answer. Clearly this is going to be hell trying to stop my subscription, which I see others have dealt with in other reviews.
