Kinju used to be a great Japanese restaurant, but ever since they started mixing in Thai flavors, it has lost its authenticity. The food no longer feels true to Japanese cuisine, and the overall experience has really gone downhill. I’m very disappointed and won’t be coming back again. ************ I find your response quite disappointing. Instead of acknowledging customer feedback, you chose to question whether my experience even happened, which feels dismissive and unprofessional. I did visit your restaurant, and my comments reflect my genuine experience. As a returning customer, I’ve noticed a clear decline in authenticity, especially after the introduction of Thai-style flavors into what used to be a Japanese-focused menu. Good reviews from others do not invalidate negative ones. Constructive criticism should be taken seriously rather than denied. Unfortunately, this response only reinforces my disappointment with both the food and the attitude.

Very attentive service and very high quality (and quantity!) fresh food. Usually buffet would cut you short in either but they did not. Definitely will visit again!

I had an amazing dining experience here. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and you could really tell the quality of the ingredients from the first bite. The ramen was rich and comforting, with a perfectly creamy broth and tender slices of pork, while the egg was cooked just right. The sushi rolls and sashimi were just as impressive—beautifully presented, with vibrant colors and a clean, fresh taste. The textures were spot on, from the soft fish to the perfectly seasoned rice, creating a really satisfying balance in every bite. On top of that, the prices were very reasonable for the quality you’re getting. It’s not always easy to find a place that delivers both great flavor and value, but this spot definitely does. I’ll definitely be coming back!

A very good experience. I recommend the salmon and the extra spicy ramen. The non-alcoholic drinks were also good.

Absolutely fantastic experience at Kinju Japanese Restaurant Manchester. The sushi was incredibly fresh and full of authentic flavour—easily some of the best in Manchester. The restaurant itself is clean, modern, and has a great atmosphere. Staff were friendly, attentive, and really knew the menu, which made a big difference. Top-quality food, great service, and a brilliant vibe—highly recommend and will definitely be back. 10/10 😋
