La Bodega offre des alcools, du vin et des articles essentiels au 530 E Benson Blvd #5, Anchorage. I don't drink but they always have fun and unique things for gifts.
The only place in Anchorage (that I know of) that offers you the option to buy a single beer from a pack to create a diverse tasting package when you get home. They also offer a broader variety of hard to find local and international items as well as items less available elsewhere(mead/craft cider). Their offerings in main categories (whiskey/rum/vodka) are pretty narrow, but you will find things that you cannot find in other area liquor stores. In my personal experience, they are also able to get ahold of allocated whiskeys if you put your name on the list for a specific one.
I can't say enough about how great the store, selection, and staff are. I love coming in for my regular items, then browsing for random new things to give a try. The staff always come check in and give great recommendations and help, without making you feel lile a criminal and they are watching you (thanks Anchorage 🤦🏻♀️). They go above and beyond to help, whether it's showing where things are, giving recommendations, or even helping me lift things when I can't. Seriously 10/10 and just about the only place I shop for alcohol 99% of the time.
Open late for most everything you need. IGA "supermarket" closes at 6 on Sundays year round, yes even in the summer while it's still light out, and 7 weekdays, 8 on Friday and Saturday. So this place is it!! All the essentials plus gas and a car wash which kinda works.
We used La Bodega to place a large order for our wedding and they were fantastic to work with. Nikole was excited to help us get a few particular items and work with us to make a wine list for the wedding that was within our budget. Pick up was easy. And they gave a discount for bulk ordering. Also shop there on the regular for their excellent selection of wine (and beer!).
