Called to see if they could resize my ring. When I got there, it turned out they couldn’t. Ok no big deal. But the attitude! The gal “helping” us had zero people skills. Also, as we were leaving, we lingered, looking at rings. At no point did she offer to help us find something. My husband mentioned after we left that he was thinking of just replacing my wedding ring altogether— so they missed a sale because of that person. Even my very patient and sweet husband was taken aback at her attitude. I am neither of those things, so I’m here writing this review. I really hope someone in charge is reading these reviews that are clearly about one bad apple. She’s costing them money.
My wife LOVES the jewelry that I’d gifted her from Maloy’s this Christmas!!! I don’t think that she’s taken it off yet! Huge thanks to Jen, who took time to help me select the perfect piece on a super busy Small Business Saturday!! Thanks again from the bottom of my heart.
My now-husband and I purchased our wedding bands here and had a lovely experience. It was important to us that our rings be vintage, and Maloy's has an excellent selection. My engagement ring (purchased at a different antique store) has a very odd setting that doesn't naturally fit with a standard band. The staff at Maloy's helped me select a band that complemented my ring, and then their jeweler customized it so that the two rings fit perfectly together. My two rings were made decades apart but they now look like a custom set made for each other, and the attention to detail was well beyond my expectations. My husband was able to select a vintage band that matches the metal of my rings and was exactly what he wanted. He needed his re-sized twice, which was also a quick and easy process. I have since gone back to them for other jewelry needs and will certainly continue to do so moving forward.
Took in my great grandmother's ring I had received when I was 10 from my grandfather. He told me it was very special and to take care of it. I am now 60, completed my geneology and that ring came up in the geneology, smuggled out of a concentration camp through her daughter and on to me. After learning this, I took it out of the safe after all of these years to see what Maloy's would say. Wow! They were great about cleaning it and giving me the history of the style, materials and even took photos. They are sending off to other specialists for more information. They were kind and helpful, I am returning with a bunch of other jewelry to repair, clean and learn about. What a great experience!
The staff here is so nice and knowledgeable. They cleaned my bracelet that has some staining on it and helped me set a tricky stop watch (also got a cool history lesson) for no charge. They also had a beautiful selection of jewelry including wedding rings. Will definitely be coming here for my jewelry needs in the future !
