This was the 2nd experience we have had with Dr. Henson. On this visit, she treated my mom’s cat (Rudy) for continued and uncontrolled vomiting. She was very kind to my mom in explaining the options and what to expect. Highly recommend. (Before and after pics included)
Memphis Veterinary Emergency Hospital treated my fur baby with such great care and respect. The team of doctors were extremely caring, empathetic, and knowledgeable. I received routine updates about his health during his stay. The best part is that the doctors ensured that he had the best medical plan, and Cobie left much healthier. He is continuing to heal and I plan to return for routine care. The care that he received was worth the price.
Our sweet dachshund showed sudden signs of IVDD. They were very efficient and swift at getting a treatment plan that was right for our pup. She underwent surgery. The staff, nurses, surgeons, and doctors have been very informative throughout the process. We received calls daily with updates from Dr. Thomason and were able to call and check in on her throughout her stay. We also got the opportunity to make visits with her throughout recovery. I would highly recommend to those seeking effective care and treatment in an emergency. They explained the upfront costs when we called to see if they would see her. They also provided an estimate of how much it would cost for treatment when we arrived. Thank you so much for taking great care of our Evie!
My daughter and her fiancé’s beloved dog was hit by a car and Memphis Veterinary Specialists had absolutely no compassion. They only cared about money. They wanted $500 before they would even see Cali, who was struggling to breathe. They didn’t explain any part of the process or what needed to be done. After hearing from my daughter that they were going to have to pay $4500 before they could leave and still didn’t know what was going on, I called MVS myself. Why did it take me asking questions to get an explanation on Cali’s condition? This information should have been explained without having to pry it out of them! After finding out the total cost could be $40,000, with a possible long road to recovery and a small chance Cali would even survive, my daughter had to make the hardest decision of her life and put her sweet Cali to rest. Did MVS show any compassion at that point? No. Disgusting! Your workers need to take a class in empathy. If you have been hardened by this job, it’s time to find a different field of work.
I don't have words to express my gratitude for how my Sadie was cared for at Memphis Veterinary Specialist. I was losing her on a Saturday, so I took her there. They were so good to my girl. Within a short time, they knew exactly what she needed. Two days later, she is back home and doing well. Not only did they save her life,with their treatment plan,she can have a good rest of her life. They are caring and compassionate. I highly recommend them. Thank you for helping my Sadie and me.
