I hate to have to write this review in all honesty, but after mulling it over here I am. I got Connor & Co. as my wedding planner and florist after finding her online and thinking she did beautiful work. The initial meetings went well and Kelsey and I got along great, but the wedding day was pretty much a disaster. She got to the venue around 2 hours late which ended up throwing off the entire day. She had told me she was sick that morning and I completely understand that, so it wasn’t just the getting there late that is making me write this. I had put a lot of emphasis on the florals I wanted for the wedding and I feel like it fell really short of what I believed I was getting. I specifically requested peonies in my bouquet, and when it got handed to me (it was made when she got to the venue, not at all beforehand), it had fake peonies in it. The rest were real, but the peonies were fake. I about cried my eyes out. I can understand not being able to get the flower due to the season, but that should’ve been a discussion way earlier so my expectations could’ve been set. I don’t recall ever being told they were gonna be fake. I would’ve been totally okay if I was told that I couldn’t get those flowers, but to hand me a bouquet with fake flowers as I’m in my wedding dress trying to get bridal photos when I paid for real flowers was insane to me. She remade it and took the fake flowers out, but I ultimately was left with a bouquet that looked nothing like what we agreed upon. Pretty, but not what I wanted. The rest of the arrangements also felt lacking and not really what we discussed. The color scheme might have been right, but the presentation wasn’t really close to what was on our agreement. I also had a greenery chandelier that turned out nothing like I thought it would. I expected this large chandelier and it ended up being small and not really as grand and noticeable as I expected. Maybe it was miscommunication overall, but it was really disappointing. I repeatedly asked during our planning sessions if the florals would be substantial enough with what we were doing and they ended up kinda disappearing into the space. The few things that was exactly how I wanted was the ceremony florals, bridesmaids bouquets, and our cake florals - those were pretty much as we discussed. I didn’t see much of Kelsey throughout the day since she was putting all of the florals together and was behind with that. I expected her to coordinate the day, but really didn’t see her until I was about to walk down the aisle. My photographer had no clue what to do or where to be since no one could coordinate it all. I’m thankful a friend stepped in and did the best she could and really helped the day along. The lack of coordinating really threw off our timeline and efficiency and we ended up not being able to take near as many photos as we hoped and had to rush through a lot of things. I also got reports from a lot of our wedding guests of an instance where she was really rude to them during our exit. If I’d heard maybe one or two people mention it I would’ve let it go, but it’s been multiple people from both sides of our family and friends that have told me about it. Again, I hate to write this because I had so much confidence in this day going great leading up to our wedding. And I hate that she got sick that morning and was late because of it and that’s totally out of her control, but there was just multiple things throughout the day that went wrong or were not what I wanted. I hope this was just a one off instance and that I just happened to be unlucky with that. Everything was great leading up to the wedding, but there was probably miscommunication along the way that led to a lot of things going wrong the day of.
I cannot even begin to explain how amazing Kelsey and her team is. I hired them by suggestion of our photographer and it was worth every penny. We planned our Memphis wedding from Houston, TX and Kelsey was perfect to help us narrow down vendors by giving us suggestions of people she’s enjoyed working with but also listen to what we wanted and made suggestions based off of that. She loved running with our non-traditional ideas and was so flexible with us. Hands down the best part was I really felt like I could be a “bride-chilla” the whole last month up until the wedding because I knew I could trust Kelsey and her team to create my perfect day. Day of was amazing and I didn’t have to worry about a thing. We also hired Connor & Co. to do our flowers – why not? They already knew our whole vision for the wedding anyway. I sent Kelsey a picture of my “dream bouquet” and she ran with it and it was perfect! She even created an arch that I never thought I could’ve afforded – like ones I saw all over Instagram, but never thought would be at MY wedding. I could not recommend them enough – also their checklist was a LIFE SAVER throughout the planner process. I like to consider myself a highly organized planner, but I am so happy we hired Connor & Co. – and you should too. *Photographs by Ashley Benham Photography
From the very first call with Kelsey I knew I would have to look no further. Not only did she help plan, keep us organized from rehearsal to the big day but she was also my florist and decorator! Connor & Co is your one stop shop! Kelsey and team are insanely talented and was able to pull off my dream wedding ceremony/reception when I wasn’t even sure what I wanted—True miracle worker! I had always imagined my wedding in a certain way and Kelsey was able to make this happen in my budget. Not only was Connor & Co super professional but she made me feel like I was the only Bride she was working with and always made time for my countless emails and texts. Connor & Co exceeded ALL expectations and she also had an amazing rapport and friendship with my vendors! If you don’t book Connor & Co for your events/weddings you would be making a mistake.
Kelsey is easy to work with and is very knowledgeable about the wedding industry. She was my coordinator and florist all in one! She’s easy to get in touch with and is talented in the floral department. My wedding flowers + arch were gorgeous and she had great accessories to add those last minute touches! She does a great job of understanding what you want your theme to look like and guides you through some difficult decisions. It was cold and rainy on our wedding day and Kelsey & her team made the event go smoothly and it was perfect! My bustle on my gown broke and she had a case of safety pins and saved the day! She was cool as a cucumber on my wedding day which helped me stay calm and I was stress free, which is priceless!
Working with Kelsey Connor was a dream come true! As a long distance bride, I was worried about how I would get everything running smoothly for my Memphis wedding while living in Texas. The answer was Kelsey. As a day-of-coordinator and floral coordinator she was everything we needed and more, the entire wedding day was magical and I didn't have a single worry. Her floral designs were absolutely gorgeous, everything was set up and taken down before we knew it needed to be done, and she has the most well equipped wedding day "emergency" tackle-box we'd ever seen! :) Absolutely would work with Connor&Co again, Kelsey will take such good care of you!
