Dr. Patterson’s 8-week MBSR class changed my life in a wonderful way. Learning to practice mindfulness has helped me to live in the present moment and to live with intention each day, instead of living stressed-out and on autopilot. Learning a variety of relaxation practices has provided me a way to reliably relieve stress and anxiety. I can honestly say that the MBSR class has transformed my daily experience of life, helping me find more ease and peace, and increasing my level of happiness. Also, I am very grateful for the Mind Body Studio’s weekly Wednesday evening Mindfulness drop-in class. The opportunity to practice mindfulness and meditation with a group that is always kind, compassionate, and welcoming is a gift. I have gone to the Wednesday night meditation, and have attended the Mindfulness Based Stress Relief 8-week program twice. I’ve found both to be very calming and helpful for learning how to continue these practices on my own. I love being in community with others during these quiet evenings. John Patterson is an excellent teacher, very knowledgeable about all aspects of mindfulness practice.
I am the type who simply cannot relax. Before participating in Dr. Patterson’s MBSR program, I was quite skeptical. But I soon changed my mind and became a staunch proponent of this “way of living.” Like everything else in life, to get full benefit one needs to be patient and practice regularly. Soon it becomes part of your day, like eating and breathing. We are lucky to have Dr. Patterson’s studio right here in our backyard. People will drive miles to have access to someone of his caliber. Try it! It will be the best thing you can do for yourself and your family!
