We had a craving for Mexican and/or South American cousine this weekend. We read quite a few positive reviews of this place, so we decided to give it a go. Common amongst many reviews is the complimentary comments about the atmosphere of the restaurant. In fact, the atmosphere is often the first thing mentioned in many reviews. Well, the atmosphere was excellent last night and I can see why most patrons were impressed. The evening started with the pina colada and it severely lacked pineapple and it was a little short on coconut too. The taste of rum trumped everything in that cocktail. However, the ceviche turned the evening around. It was fresh, tart, tasty, and hit just the right spot for us. All the little ingredients from tomato bits to avocado worked well together. We ordered a meat molkagtez, the dish of the restaurant's namesakr, as our entree. Molkagtez is a dish served in a piping hot volcanic stone bowl. In our molkagtez we had chicken, beef, ribs, sausages, a jalapeno pepper and a piece of grilled cactus. When I used to travel to Mexico City for business regularly, I was taken to many nice local restaurants and I have very fond memories of grilled cactus and stew with cactus. Our molkagtez came with six beautifully-made tortillas and they had just the right consistency and taste. This dish would have been a knock-out had the chicken and the sauce not been over salted. However, we still enjoyed it tremendously. The latte was excellent and the churro was very good. Overall, a wonderful evening and we found out craving properly sated.

The food was amazingly good. Good favor, well cooked. Had malcajete Mar y tierra and was plenty for 2. Had orchata and sangría and loved both. They gave us complementary tequila shots. Menu had great variety. Service best in class. Warm, kind, friendly, all very happy and joyful. Decoration was very very nice, combination of Hispanic, Mexican and Christmas 🎄. Clean and well design bathrooms. Great music 🎶. Highly recommended if you want to have a great time.

Went with my friends last night and had such a good time. The tacos were super tasty—fresh, juicy, and full of flavor. Big shoutout to LIBE for the great service,she was incredible . 10/10 experience!

Amazing experience! One of the best restaurants I’ve been to by far. Authentic food, atmosphere and outstanding service! Our server (petite, dark hair, bangs and tatted) was phenomenal. She made the experience/ our girls night beyond memorable. From the minute we sat down her food recommendation spot on and friendly personality had us vibing all night. She went above and beyond, had us dancing and laughing all evening. Thank you so much, you made our night!

Came here for dinner because it was close to where we were staying the night and so glad we did! The food was incredible and the service was great! My husband had fajitas and I had tacos and both were absolutely delicious. We will definitely be returning the next time we come to Toronto!
