We used Leigh for 1:1 training classes for our spicy rescue puppy and she was a GOD SEND. Literally worth every penny. I thought I adopted a dog but the first weeks she was more like an alligator and we were in over our head! Leigh has an amazing ability to read dog behavior as she simultaneously interviews the handlers to find out about their goals and lifestyle. She doesn’t just teach commands but actually gave us a COMMUNICATION line with our dog. The lessons learned are easy to apply to other areas of the dogs life and she is always giving ideas how to take things further in the future when the pup is ready. Over ~ 6 weeks of consistent training our dog stopped biting, was able to find calm during her day, and showed that she TRUSTED US. Honestly it was the best money we could have spent on our pup. We get compliments at family events and from strangers about how well behaved our girl is now. My advice: book the classes, do your homework, and love your dog!! Thank you Leigh 🙏🏻🙏🏻

I had a terrible experience with Opportunity Barks. The City School program keeps the dogs crated for 6 of the 7 hours they are there. The 1 hour of training includes potty breaks. When I picked up my 8 month old puppy she was so desperate to pee and poo, she went on the sidewalk in front of their building. She was so thirsty she was panting and needed water immediately. I sent food but she did not eat there. To compound the problem, Communication is awful. They don't let you into the space. You stand on the sidewalk - they crack open the door and pull her in or give you the leash to take her out. You get 1 email a week with some photos and videos. They don't appear to read the form you fill out and don't discuss goals. I told them that my puppy has had training since birth, but their first video was showing me how to hold a leash. The second video was of a different dog being trained - they said my dog was tethered watching. Throughout the entire video I could hear her crying. No one attempted to soothe her at all. I provided constructive input verbally and in writing by email. Despite my bad experience at the City School, I was still interested in the Farm School. I went to the open house and they were much more transparent about what a typical day looks like there. But before the evaluation day (which is separate from the City School evaluation), they called me to say that they were cancelling the evaluation because I am not a good fit for their program. They said it had nothing to do with my dog, who is a very sweet Labrador, it is because I am not "aligned" with them. They were not willing to even listen to why I thought the Farm School would be a better fit than the City School, saying that the decision had been made "by senior management" and it is not worth wasting time talking about it. Wow!

The entire team at OpBarks is OUTSTANDING! Huge shoutout to Monica and Leigh who are not only incredible humans, but care so deeply about their clients and helping them every step of the way. From first point of contact Monica has been beyond exceptional explaining all programs and following-up throughout my visits/classes. If you are a new dog pawrent and looking for any training, puppy socials, boarding, etc. look no further. I cannot recommend OpBarks enough!!! We + Oswald LOVE you guys!!

The whole staff at Opportunity Barks has been amazing! I enrolled my puppy in puppy classes and there’s consistent specific feedback to help him grow more confident as well as different recommendations for some of their other programs, like a puppy social in the woods, that’s already made some serious differences. I also want to give an extra shoutout to Monica who went WAY above and beyond helping me with an issue that was entirely my problem (on a holiday weekend, no less)! It just speaks to what a good culture the place seems to have in wanting to help, which makes me so much more comfortable following their direction, and my pup is benefiting from the work that we are doing. I highly recommend anyone who is looking into doing some early training or socialization to sign up here!

We brought our little Koda to OP Barks at 3 months old for their puppy socials. This was great for her especially this young. She was able to socialize with other young pups in a controlled environment and the trainers taught us how to read our dogs and other dogs they interact with. These socials have helped build confidence in our puppy and now she's an extremely social puppy with no fears! Not only did we witness progress in our puppy but we've also witnessed shy and scared dogs grow drastically over the weeks. They went from hiding in a corner to playing with other dogs after a few weeks. I love this place and will continue to bring my puppy as long as I can!
