This place is always lovely to go to, not only because of the very delicious baklawa they have, but also is for the best of the best people working there. They are very welcoming and the level of generosity is implacable! I got the kaak for the first time and it’s so tasty, like you are having it at someone’s mom’s house! I’m so happy that there is something on this high level of delicious baklawa shop in Downtown Montreal with the nicest staff :)
Escape to Syria without leaving Montreal, the moment you step foot in Pâtisserie Mahrousé. The kind of place that you'll say wow the moment you come in. Decor is impressive and the experience doesn't stop there. It's a journey through time, hearing and your senses too as it smells amazing in store and you can listen to Arabic museum. This place is absolutely stunning and the workers are very friendly. Samples are offered if you want to try before purchasing to help you decide what to get. I came for the mamoul but ended up getting halaweyet jibna and saffron cardamom tea as well. I love that it wasn't too sweet. A nice cozy atmosphere with limited seating, but delicious sweet treats to satisfy your cravings and of course a beautiful place to transport you to another country, almost making you forget that you're right in the city centre of Montreal. I'd come back here anytime if I'm ever in Montreal again and would recommend it to anyone.
Absolutely amazing experience! The service was outstanding—friendly, quick, and genuinely welcoming. The space itself is beautiful, clean, and has such a warm atmosphere. Hands down the BEST in town. Perfectly crispy, perfectly sweet, and unbelievably fresh. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to everyone!
I fear the Pistachio ice cream was not one bit exaggerated. Workers are sweet, and diligent, and got friendly banter, and also seem genuinely happy. As soon as you enter it smells like rose water, or orange essence. The ceilings are high and lights gets in. I find they're located in a bit of a niche spot but 1000% worth it. The icecream has a beautiful varistion of texture, its not an overtly sweet dessert, despite the colder weather it was very comforting. The lounging chairs are very comfortable. The colors inside are very classy and refined yet not overbearing. The overall Aesthetic is coordinated and the many geometrical patterns could initially seem much but they blend in the ambiance. I just think it's nice when Aesthetic matches the quality of culinary experience 😌 👌. Chef kiss. Highly recommend their cookies too .
Absolutely beyond 5 stars experience! I was craving something sweet and fragrant and discovered this place on UberEats. They had great promotions going on weekends and upon picking up my order, I was offered huge portions of samples of other products and I enjoyed every single one of them. Also, absolutely amazing scent in their store! It was so good that I had to ask the owner (I guess?) what the scent or fragrance was … it is their signature orange blossom. I left with my orders and decided that my friend and I might want more desserts so I went back in store to get another flavour. Apparently I walked out again with more samples. I appreciate the hospitality and generosity, and of course, hands down the best middle eastern sweets I’ve ever tasted!
