Sometimes the Old guard of Winnipeg should just retire and close. Gone are the glory days of Rae and Jerry's as we know it. Gone are the elderly waitresses who I'm sure had the menu memorized and had a keen sense of customer service. We went there for lunch. We were seated and waited for 20 minutes. No one came to our table. Two other tables which had been seated after us both had service. We also overheard that their lunch special was sold out. The restaurant was not full. It was maybe at 50 to 75%. And so we left and had far better food and far better service at a restaurant at Polo Park. Sometimes Winnipeg it's time to wave goodbye to the past and say hello to the present. We went to a restaurant that was full but was also fully staffed. The menu and the food were well priced, incredibly appealing and delicious. Thank you Joey.

We had a wonderful experience! We ordered a cocktail and 2 different steaks, and everything tasted amazing — the steaks were cooked perfectly. The service was excellent; our server checked in on us regularly to make sure everything was alright and that we were enjoying our food, without ever feeling intrusive. We also loved the ambiance inside the restaurant — classic, warm, and inviting. Overall, a great dining experience, and we would absolutely come back again. Highly recommend!

Great food. Juicy, tender meat cooked how you like it. Get steak. Forget the other meats. It's a steak place. That's what it is known for. It's been agreeing for 50+ years for a reason. French onion soup really good. Cheesy! Nice broth. I normally don't like French onion. You could get tomato juice - classy. Service is generally very good. Fairly knowledgeable on the menu with good recommendations. They weren't always available when we needed them. Very courteous, and friendly otherwise. It's not a cheap place. What steak place is? Steak dinner, nothing less than $50. However, they are reasonably priced for what you get. Old school lounge vibe. I feel like hanging around and wanting to have a cigar with my drink. I'd recommend and return.

Work trip dinner with colleagues, busy place on a Tuesday night after thanksgiving. I guess steak is better than turkey Food was above average, service was excellent, top notch white glove service. Decor is amazing, a little modern, a little 60/70s vibe. Love it.

We came in as a larger party on short notice yesterday, and Chantelle and Dylan were beyond accommodating. They always made sure we never had an empty glass and were great with menu recommendations. I had a dry gin martini and the bruschetta flatbread - to die for!! Our spot in the lounge was anything but lacklustre. The location, vibe, and prompt service made it a perfect evening. Huge thanks again to Chantelle and Dylan for your outstanding and attentive service, and warm personalities. This was my first time at Rae & Jerry’s and it certainly won’t be my last!
