A serious bicycle crash left me with a fractured ankle, two long stints in a walking boot, and an arthroscopy all within 12 months. The advice from my healthcare providers was that I probably shouldn’t run anymore, and I grew frustrated with my HMO’s generic outpatient PT services. As a competitive runner for more than half my life, I knew “just stop running” wasn’t the only answer. Dr. Anh evaluated me with the patience, precision, and care that comes only with an appreciation of the sport and a deep understanding of physiology. She looked beyond my ankle pains and encouraged me to focus on strengthening muscle groups that my previous PTs overlooked. When I moved away from the Bay Area, she agreed to coach me remotely and wrote a methodical, safe return to running program. Before working with Dr. Anh, I hadn’t run for nearly 2 years. After, about a year or so I was running pain free and after two more, running faster and smarter than I’d run before; most recently posting a 2:33 debut marathon. I couldn’t recommend Dr. Anh and her practice more!
Anh is a treasured asset to the Bay Area running community. Her knowledge of physiology and her ability to synthesize treatment plans are worth every penny. More than once, a single consult has taken me from injured and discouraged to running again far faster than I thought possible. I know many others have had the experience. Most importantly, Anh helped me believe that my days of fast running were NOT behind me. I recently ran a 1:14 half marathon PR - something I don’t think I would have even attempted without her encouragement. Send all your injured friends.
Anh helped me with multiple running injuries - turning things around for me after a tough couple of years. I recently ran my strongest (and fastest!) half marathon in years. Dr. Anh at Run Resiliently is truly amazing to work with! I was feeling really defeated by a knee injury, but through PT with Dr. Anh, I was back to running way quicker than I imagined. Every session was so intentional and personal, which made for a fast and effective recovery. Her communication, knowledge, and personalized plan made all the difference. I'm so happy with the strength I’ve built and the deeper understanding I now have of my body as a runner. Not only am I back to running pain free, but I finally feel like I have a solid foundation and the tools I need to stay strong. I have never worked with a better PT than Dr. Anh! Anh is AMAZING!! Prior to seeing Anh, I had multiple stress fractures and kept getting injured every 2-3 months. Since working with her, she has helped me safely ramp up to multiple half marathons, a marathon and 50k within the last 9 months. I’ve worked with a lot of PTs in the past and I am very confident to say that Anh is my favorite. She’s brilliant and a true expert in her field. She carefully personalizes PT/strength exercises for your specific needs and I always feel cured after a visit. Couldn’t recommend her enough!
