As someone who professionally travels the world to discover new places to eat and adventure to with a farm-twist, I was excited to read that this location works with local grains and supports farmers. What I wasn’t expecting was that a lot of our pastries were sub-par: 📍1/5 Cinnamon Roll: Hard as a rock. The most heartbreaking. 📍 4/5 Savory Croissant: flavor was amazing, still a bit chewy for the pastry 📍5/5 lye roll: soft in the inside, not overly salty, and just the right chew 📍2/5 cinnamon pretzel: very granular for the sugar. Wet to the touch but the pretzel itself was a good texture. 📍4/5 Amman: flavor was lovely, still a bit tough but not anywhere compared to the cinnamon roll 📍5/5 Sweet Croissant: lovely flavor and texture Lots of space to sit. Wonderful service. Good window light at front seating. Hopefully the bread is different!!
This bakery is a bakery/cafe during the day and I think they also offer wine during the evening. There’s often line for the pastries - I tried the plain croissant and seasonal pumpkin pie here, and my friend tried the focaccia and lye roll. Their croissant is light and airy - it’s not salty or too buttery. The size is also pretty large. I personally liked the pumpkin pie here - it’s different from the typical pumpkin you might have. Their pumpkin filling is dense and not too sweet, which I really liked. Their crust is on the drier side though, you can tell that they didn’t use too much butter in the crust. Focaccia also had good reviews from my friend. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area, or even a trip just to try the pastries here.
Went into Seawolf Bakers, and their matcha completely surprised me — so rich and smooth, definitely a highlight. The cinnamon roll had a ton of raisins, maybe a bit much for my taste, but still tasty enough to finish. The place has a cozy, inviting vibe, and yeah, there’s usually a line, which says something. Known for their a fresh loaf to take home. Totally worth a stop if you’re in the area
Got the chocolate croissant and oat chocolate chip cookie. The croissant part of the chocolate croissant was amazing. Super buttery and flaky. I didn’t love the chocolate they used though. I am a fan of dark chocolate but this chocolate had more fruity notes and was a little darker than I like in a pastry, i prefer something a bit more rich, but this is definitely the perfect croissant for somebody. The cookie is pretty good, not the best ever but definitely good. The space is nice! We went on a Sunday in the summer and the line was long but moved very quick. There was lots of outdoor seating in the courtyard and they had a large accessible bathroom!
Sea Wolf is a fantastic spot to grab a quick bite and a good brewed cup of coffee. The vibe here is relaxed yet inviting, with a cozy atmosphere that makes it perfect for both solo visits and small groups. While there’s a decent amount of seating, it can get a bit crowded during peak hours, so plan accordingly if you're looking for a quieter experience or table. I was really impressed with the coffee—it’s rich and flavorful, and the cookie I had was definitely the standout treat. The cinnamon roll, on the other hand, was good but not great. It would have been a game-changer if it had been served warm, especially since it was a bit chilled. A little warmth would have made all the difference with the icing. That being said, Sea Wolf is definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. Whether you're looking to fuel up for a productive work session or simply want to enjoy a book in the sun, their outdoor patio is a great option. Overall, a solid choice for a casual coffee break or a snack while on the go!
