I did not have a great experience with Shreve, Crump & Low shopping for a watch. I inquired about a specific piece that was showing as available in their new watch page and was also told that the piece was indeed available in their Boston location. I made the 1.5 hour journey to their location and, lo and behold, the watch was unavailable and was apparently sold back in 2022. I was told their website for new watches is not updated frequently, but a three year lag is egregious. This is not the level of professionalism I expect out a fine jeweler/watch seller.
I visited Shreve, Crump & Low with my wife toward the end of a long day looking for the perfect Christmas Present. The staff was so approachable and friendly, and worked hard to find the right ring. We found a beautiful ring that fit what we described, but my wife fell in love with another one which we ended up choosing. It's been a few years since my wife bought her wedding band at the old location, but we are very happy to have reconnected with Shreve, Crump & Low. Many thanks to Darleen who very patiently educated me on all of our options, and to Tom for showing us the ring that took her breath away!

I am confident that Shreve, Crump & Low understands this and is well equipped and willing to support our journey. My initial visit to Shreve, Crump & Low, prompted by a specific Rolex reference on their website, fell short of that ideal. However, and the reason for revisiting this review, is what happened next. Brian and Glen reached out to me and listened carefully. That experience fundamentally changed my impression. It became clear to me that the firm is, in fact, well equipped to support enthusiasts: they have the technical capability, the inventory depth, and—most importantly—the leadership mindset needed to foster their customer’s trust. Their willingness to engage substantively spoke volumes about the culture and standards Shreve, Crump & Low aspires to uphold. Watch enthusiasts, particularly those who view these purchases as personal milestones rather than simple transactions, understand how important responsiveness and engagement truly are. All you need to know is that Brian and Glen, at Shreve, Crump & Low, just “get us”.
I always enjoy visiting this store. Whenever I am close by, I make sure to stop by, not just to view their watches but also to say hello to the staff. Tai is my main guy. He is very informative and knowledgeable about the watch industry. He never pressures me to buy anything and provides me all the information and variables to make the right decision for me and my collection. I never leave the store with regret on any watches I've purchased through Tai. I highly recommend this store. Definitely look for Tai!
I have dealt with Shreve Crump and Low for years but this was my first experience dealing with Glen and it could not have gone better! He listened to what I was looking for and offered concret suggestions and advice. The final deal that was more than fair. I would strongly recommend him if you are in the market for a high end timepiece!! A first rate transaction from start to finish!!
