Carol was such a blessing to us while we prepared for our wedding. I knew I could trust her 100% when it came to choosing and buying my wedding band. In the early stages of looking for engagement rings, Carol sat with us and let us pick, choose, and customize all sorts of sets. I highly recommend coming here for your first stop while looking for rings. There is no pressure and they have the best selection. She truly made the process so easy and stress free. State St cleaned my engagement ring (which we did not purchase from them) and gave me such a wonderful experience each time we came in. The knowledge and customer care is impeccable. Wedding sets, look online before you go know the stone you want or they'll send you home to narrow down your options. My husband and I were looking to upgrade my wedding set for our 30th anniversary and had looked online for a few weeks but I really needed to see things in person. We were looking for something completely new and different from what I originally had. Since it had been 30 years since trying on wedding rings, we wanted to see different settings, colors of gold, styles of settings etc. Employee greeted us and insisted we need to look for a stone first. I explained we really just wanted to see settings as I wasn't committed to a stone type and wanted to see settings on my finger and see how different styles looked and felt. She asked if I had looked online at anything and I told her yes, but I can't see how it feels or how it looks online. She asked if there was a stone cut I may be interested in... I mentioned radiant and cushion catch my eye. She stated she would go to the back and get some stones. I restated I'm really here to try on settings today do you have anything I can try on? She opened a case and told my husband and I we could try on some of the magnetic settings and stones and she would go to the back to get some stones... We were looking for something more unique. When she came back we looked at a couple of things and at some point she restated how the process works and we must find a stone first... She stated if we weren't ready to do that, we should look online and narrow down our options there first and come back. REALLY?! My husband and I were both in disbelief but took her advice and left. We chose not waste another minute of our day not accomplishing what we set out to do that day. We visited many other jewelry stores that day and had no issues trying on settings all day and narrowing down our options. We only felt pushed here to do things one way. Very disappointed in the level of service at State St. Jewelers.
I came in for repair of two Swiss watches. Andrea took them in the back to try to switch out the batteries with new ones. This repaired one of them. I wandered around while she was in the back. I saw a Rolex that I liked. I was interested, but had no intention of buying it. She showed it to me and I told her to place it back in the counter because of the price. I went home and it kept popping into my mind. I looked up exact watches on the internet and the one at State Street had the best price. I went back twice asking questions. I bought it on my third visit. Andrea couldn't have been any better. She was knowledgeable and kind. I would recommend anyone to work with her when buying any piece of jewelry at State Street. I went back today to pick up the second watch more extensive repair. Honestly, I loved the treatment I received from Andrea during my purchase and the repairs. I feel like I made a friend during the process.
No longer on State Street they have moved to their beautiful new location on Battleground. The store is upscale, bright and has many display counters. There is jewelry for all price levels and if they don’t have what you need they will help you find it or even make it. The staff is friendly and very helpful. It seems they have studied customer service and the value of a customer. My wife and I had our rings resized and were very pleased with the work. The prices are fair. I learned they have a 30 satisfaction policy where you can return items or get a store credit if you are not happy with the purchase. State Street is a great place to purchase your jewelry or have repair work done.
