We had a reservation at 7:30 pm, showed up at 7:25. First thing we noticed is the hostess' don't seem to fit the attire of everyone else who works there, very casual compared to the wait staff, men walking around with food, and obviously management dresses professional. We waited almost 30 minutes past our reservation for a table, even though there were people who walked in after us who were seated before us (there was only 2 of us for my party). We were seated and the waiter asked us had we been there before, in which we both explained no it was our first time. He VERY quickly went through how it worked, but unfortunately neither of us really understood him because he spoke fast and with a very heavy accent (not his fault, I'm not saying anything bad about his accent). Luckily I had looked up how the restaurant worked ahead of time so I explained it to my husband. Salad bar was cool, the flower decoration above the salad bar was beautiful. The waiter offered us 3 different types of water (tap, bottled, or sparkling) and wine, my husband doesn't drink so we got water. At no other time did he offer us anything else. He randomly dropped off (without explanation) french fries, mashed potatoes, and a desert that smelled like apples, but I guess were bananas. People walked around with meats but again, some we could not understand what they were so we just kinda guessed and ate them. I suggest a sign for people to read what the meat is the men are walking around with. The waiter checked with us once and we waited another 15 minutes before signaling him that we were ready for the check because it was clear he wasn't going to come ask us if we were finsihed.

exas de Brazil Detroit delivered an outstanding dining experience from start to finish. The butchers are truly exceptional — every cut of meat they bring to the table is perfectly seasoned, cooked to perfection, and carved with real skill. You can tell they take pride in what they do, and it shows in the flavor and tenderness of every bite. Their beef selection is incredibly rich and diverse, offering everything from classic cuts to premium options that you don’t find everywhere. The variety keeps the experience exciting, and each serving feels fresh and high quality. If you’re a meat lover, this place is a dream. The salad bar is also impressive, filled with fresh ingredients, unique sides, and great options to complement the meats. The atmosphere is warm, elegant, and comfortable, making it a great spot for both special occasions and casual nights out. The staff is friendly, attentive, and makes sure you’re always taken care of. Overall, this is one of the best all-you-can-eat steakhouse experiences I’ve had. Amazing service, amazing butcher team, and a truly rich beef menu. Highly recommended!

DO NOT EAT HERE!! I honestly don’t even know how Texas de Brazil is still operating with the kind of food they served me. I was given completely RAW, soggy meat — not “rare,” not “juicy,” but literally wet, mushy, cold-in-the-middle slabs that looked like they had been soaking in some questionable liquid before being barely waved over a grill. It was disgusting and absolutely unsafe to eat. For a place that charges almost $90, this was an absolute joke. The quality was so bad that I genuinely started contemplating filing a credit card dispute because I’m not paying premium prices for raw, slimy meat that shouldn’t even be legally served. It was honestly shocking — one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in my entire life. The servers kept bringing out the same undercooked, soggy cuts, even after I asked for something properly cooked. The meat was so unappetizing I couldn’t even force myself to swallow it. I left hungry, irritated, and feeling like I had just thrown money straight into the trash. Save yourself the disappointment, the nausea, and the wasted money. This place is a complete embarrassment, and I’m never coming back. Absolutely disgusting do not waste your money

We had such a great time here! The restaurant is beautiful and upscale with an amazing selection of meats—lamb, chicken, shrimp, pork, steak, and filet mignon—brought to our table non-stop. We loved the cheese bread, fresh salad bar, and tasty side dishes. The passion mango fruit drink was so refreshing, the desserts were perfect, and the service was friendly and attentive. It was the perfect spot for our family get-together over the holiday weekend!

This place was kind of a disappointment for over $50 per person. They need to update their wine list with current options. I tried ordering two different bottles that they ended up being out of and then gave up and just ordered a cocktail by the glass instead. Any of the pork that came around was super dry. And the servers don’t necessarily pay attention to whether your cards are red or green. The salad bar was my favorite. Crisp romaine lettuce! And the lobster bisque. Overall, I would rather spend the $$ at a local chophouse instead.
