John is a unicorn. A deep well of audio know-how and a genuinely nice and joyful person. I bought some fantastic Monitor Audio speakers from him, along with some other things, and it was a great experience including the part where he diagnosed & solved a pesky RF interference issue with my Creek amplifier letting me keep that trusty bit of gear in use. John is honest, loves good sound, and will share his wisdom to help without any hint of pretension. The kind of person the world needs more of.
It’s been such a great experience getting my amplifiers serviced at the Audio Connection. John is extremely knowledgeable and so generous with his time. He is also patient and kind with answering all of my audio questions. There is no better place in town to get your tubes tested as well. He is a tube matching wizard! Definitely a real neighborhood gem.

I recently visited Audio Connection in search of a new turntable and was blown away by the level of customer service I received. John, the owner, is truly passionate about audio and it shows in his knowledge and attention to detail. He helped me choose the perfect turntable for my needs and set it up with the utmost care and precision. Not only that, but he also matched me with a phono pre-amp that complements my setup perfectly. But John's excellent customer service didn't end there - he even called to check in on me after my purchase to make sure everything was working as expected. Walking into Audio Connection feels like stepping back in time to the golden age of audio, and I couldn't be happier with my experience there. Five stars all around!
I'm so glad I found this shop. I had a headshell with a broken wire that John repaired for me and then recommended and installed a cartridge for my turntable. He then spent a good amount of time perfectly balancing the tonearm and my records have never sounded better. I also picked up a record cleaning brush which he taught me to use properly. He really knows his stuff and I enjoyed watching him work and chatting with him. I'll definitely return when I'm in the market for better speakers.
