Great location, competitive pricing through Active and Fit, all the cardio, free weights, and machines you need, basketball (full court), racquetball (multiple courts), steam room and sauna. Samille (membership/front desk) is super helpful - thank you!
I it's a great club with a very attentive staff, a mildly heated outdoor pool, wet and dry saunas, good classes, clean common areas, and towel service. I would give the club a 5, but getting into the pool is for difficult. And it should be. They should have a more accessible climb into the pool. It's only 3 ft.
Hours are too limited. The Club is always looking for an excuse/holiday to close early. Of course closing on Xmas is normal or early on Xmas Eve and NYE is fine, but the other early closings are not typical of most fitness clubs. Closing at 4p on Sundays is ridiculous. Members are not getting their money’s worth. Jacuzzi in women’s locker room has not functioned for over 5 yrs. Management should repair it. It was very popular.
I just joined the City Club. It’s a really nice space and the staff there are wonderful. I got my tour by Miko. He was very informative and low pressure from a sales perspective. I really appreciate this because I’ve had the opposite experience at other gyms. Another great thing I noticed was that they greet every member who walks in by name. Seems like a great gym and I can’t wait to get started!
The range of equipment is nice but the pool is broken down what feels like every other day. The 30 day cancellation fee is another issue so if you have economic instability, don’t sign up, they will absolutely not refund you and may charge you for individual days in the next month. It’s also buried under a ton of other basic info and questionaries in the middle of their form so it can be hard to spot. I tried to call management about it when I quit and was told someone would call me in a specific time frame. They didn’t until I sent a follow up email and only then did they call me hours after the time they said they would. The thing felt incredibly unprofessional. I’d recommend not waisting your money and going somewhere cheaper that you can leave more easily
