Had to buy a lot for a bowling league function and met Jim who went above and beyond to help me! I am so grateful for all the help and kindness I was met with. I have never had a bad experience going to Total Wine and this is why I will continue to shop there.
This was my first and last experience at this location. Most of the staff were kind and helpful; however, one employee was extremely unprofessional. She was rude to my mother and then falsely claimed that I had sworn at her, despite several nearby customers who witnessed the interaction and did not hear me say anything inappropriate, because I did not. As we were already leaving, she followed us and attempted to involve management, even though she was the one who initiated the hostility and just kept lying. Just straight up kept lying. It was crazy. Customer-facing roles require basic professionalism and respect, and unfortunately, that standard was not met during this interaction.
We had a very frustrating experience at this location. My husband and I entered the store together to browse. At checkout, we were stopped because I did not have my ID with me at the time. We fully understood that alcohol cannot be sold without proper ID and clearly stated that we were not making a purchase. Despite this, we were asked to leave the store entirely and were not allowed to re-enter, even just to continue browsing. This felt excessive and unnecessary, especially considering that no laws were violated and we cooperated fully with the staff. I understand the importance of alcohol compliance and ID policies, but the way this situation was handled lacked basic customer respect. A simple explanation or a more measured response would have made a big difference. Instead, we were treated as if we had done something wrong, which was both uncomfortable and disappointing. Policies exist to ensure safety, but they should not come at the cost of treating lawful adult customers with dignity. Unfortunately, this experience left us with a very negative impression of the store.
Been here a few times and have always been impressed with this selection, organization and staff. The layout is relatively easy to find what you are looking for. And if you need help, there are usually staff wandering around looking to help out customers. Most times that I have been there, they are having either tastings or samples of different products. These might be in-store personnel or the vendor reps. Always knowledgeable about the different products. The checkouts are pretty efficient, and I have always found them staffed with pleasant "people" people. They have a loyalty program, and is helpful to save a few bucks on your purchases. I don't always come here (it's a bit out of my way), but when I do I know that they are likely to have what I am looking for.
Pretty standard iteration of total wine. The prices are lower than most area stores. They are the fox books of alcohol. Call me silly… But I normally get more joy out of shopping at the shop around the corner.
