Stopped by to grab a pack before flying back home. Wanted to rip one with the wife before we left Austin. (They were selling a single pack of evolving skies for $50!) Saw the Charizard box sitting for $160 - decided to get it, why not (besides it being $10-15 over market value). The guy says “Oh, I have one on the floor right here.” But something wasn’t right - my gut told me nah. I asked the guy for the box on the shelf with the price tag on it - since that’s the one that first called to me (I had no idea there was one of the floor). The other employee glared at me & rolled his eyes, then said “I’m just kidding, it’s cool.” Came home and pulled the Mega Charizard SIR along with the amazing promos. Well played Toy Dojo.
Great selection but I have a big issue. I have bought some items from here that have been broken or have serious issues out of the box. They will try to push you into keeping it and get really upset if you want an exchange. They should both stand by their products and not give the customer a hard time for selling faulty products. It is not on the customer to eat the loss just because the vendor has faulty products. They also generally charge a bit more than other retailers, and that's fine, but for that price I do expect some better customer service and not anger because YOUR product isn't as advertised.
Great little store, offering a ton of product relative to the space they have to work with. If you're into scale models, gunpla, TCGs, or anything adjacent, you'll surely find something to buy here. As a bonus, the two fellas working the place were friendly and knowledgeable. Super underrated store in Austin, not enough people have recommended this place to me.
the best shop ive ever found in my life my only complaint is that its a small shop wish they had a bigger store but other than that really great place to buy anime statues, action figures, funko pops, or transformers i prefer buying the $5 custom lego minifigures they have since theyre cheap and have good detail to them ive bought loads of stuff from them and im satisfied with every purchase from here (except for that time i thought i was into dragon ball and started spending alot of money on dragon ball stuff and no longer wanted after realizing i wasnt into dragon ball)
Small store, small occupation capacity, big selection. I've never seen such a huge variety of gundam, transformers, pop figs, etc in such a compact space. The staff partaking in the hobby products they're selling really makes the experience authentic.
