Walking into the Toys“R”Us at Tanger San Marcos instantly took me back to my childhood! 🎁🧸✨ The moment I stepped inside, I felt that same excitement I used to feel in the 90s — the bright colors, the aisles full of toys, and that pure sense of wonder. 😍🎯 It’s rare to find a store that captures that kind of nostalgia, but this location really does. The layout, the energy, and even the music brought back so many great memories of being a kid and running to see what new toys had just come out. 🚀🪀 The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the store was clean and well-stocked. It’s such a fun experience for both kids and adults who remember what Toys“R”Us used to be. ❤️👶 So happy to see Toys“R”Us making a comeback — this store truly captures the magic and joy we all grew up with! 🌟🎄🎮

Who doesn’t want to be a Toys “R” Us kid? The moment I heard that San Marcos had one, I just had to go check it out. Seeing that classic logo again brought back a flood of childhood memories—the excitement, the joy, and that magical feeling of walking into a place filled with toys and possibilities. But sadly, walking inside this time didn’t bring that same feeling. It was quite different from what I remembered growing up. The energy, the variety, and that “wow” factor seemed to be missing. It felt more like a small section inside another store rather than the huge wonderland it used to be. Don’t get me wrong—it’s still nice to see the Toys “R” Us name back in action, but it just doesn’t have that same spark that once made it the ultimate destination for kids and families. Maybe it’s nostalgia talking, but I miss the magic that made being a Toys “R” Us kid something truly special.

Just when you thought all the Toys “R” Us has closed not here in San Marcos. It’s still open. The staff was really friendly and helpful and plenty of stuff in the store to see you will definitely find something you want.

My partner and I had the most wonderful day out, revisiting a place that once held so many childhood memories Toys R Us. After years of hearing about its closure, we were overjoyed to discover that it was back in business. Although it wasn’t the vast, sprawling wonderland of toys we remember from our youth, it still had that perfect balance of nostalgia that made it feel special. The shelves weren’t lined with the same immense selection, but there was something uniquely heartwarming about the smaller, more intimate space. It was like stepping into a time capsule, with each corner sparking memories of simpler days spent wandering aisles of colorful toys. One of the most delightful parts of our visit was seeing Geoffrey the Giraffe, the beloved mascot. There was something magical about spotting him again, reminding us of the joy we felt as children, walking hand in hand with parents, browsing toys with wide eyes. Geoffrey’s presence brought a smile to both of us, a joyful reminder that no matter how things change, some traditions remain comforting and familiar. Toys “R” Us has always been more than just a store it’s been a symbol of childhood excitement and imagination. Even in its new, smaller form, it still radiates that same warmth and charm. The visit brought back the pure, unbridled joy we used to feel, and it reminded us that sometimes, all you need is a little bit of nostalgia to rekindle the magic. It may not have been the same massive Toys “R” Us we grew up with, but it was everything we needed a trip down memory lane with just the right touch of whimsy. What makes Toys “R” Us special is that feeling, that connection to the past, and the joy it continues to bring to families, big and small. It was truly a day to remember, and we’re grateful we got to share it together.

These toy stores that have returned from the past, without the presence or model of what it was a few years ago. Little assortment and variety, expensive items, terrible service, the large ToysRus stores closed, because they could not compete in prices with online sales!!
