Unity Renaissance Spiritual Life Center est une communauté spirituelle progressiste à Chesapeake, Virginie, qui honore toutes les voies de la foi tout en embrassant un christianisme positif et inclusif. Connue pour ses services inspirants, ses messages qui font réfléchir et son environnement favorable aux personnes LGBTQ+, le centre offre un espace où chacun se sent chez soi et libre d'être soi-même. I went to Unity Renaissance Spiritual Life Center for about a year or so. I loved the Spiritual energy, the great people, the awesome messages, and that God and The Bible were not overtly referenced much. I stopped going because I began to feel the center was self-centered. The offerings of paid classes and courses began to make me feel the prosperity of the center is job number one. What we as citizens can do to make our communities, the region, the country, and the world better by us being proactive as an entity, and as individuals was never spoken about on Sundays. I was in the men's group hoping they would be working in the community helping people. Unfortunately, everything was about support of Unity and nothing high-profile in the community was ever spoken about. The outreach efforts were never mentioned in Sunday gatherings. No mention of what could be done in the community was never mentioned on Sundays. No call for volunteers to help organizations that serve our communities was ever asked. When I brought it up by email I got a response that basically told me about sandwich makers and volunteering at a remote location, but nothing the men of Unity or anything of high profile substance Unity is doing in our communities on a regular basis. I'm now at Coastal Virginia Unitarian Universalists church where they serve free meals every Wednesday. I volunteer on one of the teams.

Very welcoming and positive church. I love how at home I feel and the freedom I have there to just be myself. Definitely consider checking it out of your looking for a church or just something new!

We’ve been attending for 3 years now. We love their open-minded approach to spirituality, honoring Christianity and ALL pathways of faith. Services are uplifting and thought provoking and our children love the youth program. I can’t wait until their old enough to do the youth retreats!

Everyone is welcome and celebrated here as a divine expression of God. Using affirmative prayers, active lessons, and amazing heart-guided lessons, our children and teens know they each carry Spirit-within and have access to unconditional love at all times. The music is uplifting and connecting. Come on by!!
