Honestly when you get to a professional aspect I think you’re looking for a more comfortable environment than what you have at home. But the visit I had at the urgent care on cascade road felt like I was quarreling with a football coach on a football field. Welcome the unprofessional Soltman, Matthew C, NP.
Reception and RN's are super professional and hospitable, care is generally very prompt. The primary providers are often dismissive of concerns. I've tried this urgent care on three different occasions, twice with concerns of a potential bacterial infection and both times was dismissed and told nothing was wrong, just to later be told by another office that there was indeed signs of an infection present and antibiotics were needed. While the care provided is efficient, it is far from thorough and often overlooks basic facets of a medical work up for some diagnoses. I'll reiterate that the reception staff and general support and nursing staff are incredible with this bedside manner and hospitality!
Compassionate, prompt care from all staff. The "intake" person found a pharmacy that was open and made sure I knew the address. Appreciate their professional service on a Sunday.
I rarely leave reviews, but I feel it’s important to share my experience. I went into this urgent care with chest pain, shortness of breath, fever, and noticeably crackly breathing. I even told the doctor, Daniel Mann, that I suspected pneumonia. He listened to my lungs for less than 10 seconds, dismissed my concerns, and prescribed me an inhaler, steroids, and a cough suppressant—despite the fact that I told him I did not have a cough. When I asked for clarification about my symptoms, the only explanation I was given was “it’s probably a cold.” When I asked if he could say with certainty that it was not pneumonia, he told me yes. I had to push just to get a COVID and flu test, because in my life I’ve never had a “cold” this severe. To be fair, I understand my visit was close to closing time. However, this was the only urgent care open at the time, and I simply cannot afford an ER visit. I was hoping for thorough care and reassurance, but instead left feeling dismissed and confused. Over the following week, my symptoms did not improve and actually got worse, especially the difficulty breathing. I ended up going to a different urgent care for a second opinion, where they performed a chest X-ray and confirmed I do in fact have pneumonia. That means I spent an entire week untreated, walking around contagious, exposing my baby brother and my best friend who has severe asthma and lung issues. This misdiagnosis and dismissal could have had serious consequences for me and the people around me. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of thoroughness and the disregard for my symptoms, and I would strongly caution others about the level of care provided here.
Went in for a stomach bug and decided I'd also have them look at a lingering rash that I've been treating but not having a ton of luck. Everyone was nice, but the nurse practitioner seemed to want to rush me out and quickly discharge me. They took care of my stomach bug issues, but I had to ask 3 times for her to finally look at my foot rash, from which she said it looked good and to just keep doing what I'm doing. The issue for me is that the rash hasn't changed so she didn't even ask me what it used to look like. She just said it's good and discharged me. If I hadn't felt so awful still from my stomach bug, I would've made it a bigger deal. I definitely don't recommend this urgent care if you want to get proper service. It's not like this is a free service, you can go somewhere else and get more quality of care for your money.
