What a truly wonderful, different eating experience! With family visiting from Australia, we chose to dine here during the Christmas break, and were totally delighted with everything. The atmosphere was fascinating..totally new. The food was exceptionally delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would certainly return.

Had worried that the pictures on google of the decor were going to cause my eyes a massive visual disturbance and nearly didnt end up coming here. Wholly glad i did though. The lighting and additional decoration makes the place feel a lot cosier than online images would suggest. However, food was stunning, some of the best belly salmon sashimi ive ever had and the staff were beyond excellent. A place i will definitely be returning to next time im in manchester.

Super fun and quirky restaurant inspired by 3D cartoon design. We didn’t have a reservation but they still accommodated us on a busy weekend. Staff was super nice, food was tasty and overall we paid a decent price for everything we had. Would 100% recommend for a change of scenery.

The food quality is excellent, and the 2D-style décor is both trendy and unique. What’s most impressive is that many of their thoughtful arrangements come at no extra charge. Even I couldn’t resist giving a £1 tip—super satisfied! The average cost is only around £20 per person, totally worth it! 🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵 👍🏻Soft Shell Crab with Avocado Roll 🤙🏻Chicken Katsu Curry Bowl 👍🏻Burnt Caramel Basque Cheese Cake 🤙🏻Latte 👌🏻Edamame, Seaweed Salad, Miso Soup 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷

Myself and a couple of friends have recently moved to Manchester and decided to try Waku Waku for the first time. It was a lovely experience with great food and warm staff. The food and drink itself lived up to the photos online and tasted just as good. The portion sizes for the price you pay are definitely worth the money and it is a good example of authentic food. It was nice seeing the variety of options and ability to interchange proteins as someone that doesn’t eat meat, making the restaurant good for both vegetarians and vegans. Across the four of us, we tried a variety of different foods and didn’t find a single complaint! The decoration also 100% lives up to the buzz, feeling like you’re in a drawing. There were a couple of sections that may need a revamp, such as the floor, but that’s just the natural ware and tear of a busy establishment! The staff were all extremely catering to any needs and made us feel welcome. We didn’t feel rushed or judged for taking time with looking at the menus and had no issues with paying separately. One of the servers also immediately asked my dietary requirements after ordering vegetarian food, showing that the staff care about their customers. Overall it was an extremely please experience and we would definitely go back!
