Le Walter Baker Sports Centre est un pôle de Nepean comprenant deux patinoires, trois piscines et une salle de sport intérieure. L'établissement est apprécié pour son personnel chaleureux et son ambiance accueillante, sans oublier un espace de repos au deuxième étage offrant une vue sur les patinoires et les piscines. Situé juste à côté de la bibliothèque et disposant d'un grand parking, il sert de lieu polyvalent pour les activités récréatives et communautaires.

Deux patinoires bien entretenues, de taille équivalente à celle de la NHL, disponibles pour les ligues de hockey, le patinage artistique et les sessions publiques de patinage.

We go here for my toddlers "swimming" class. Staff is great but the women's change room only has 1 private changing area/disabled designated change room. It was also not very clean.. hair and dirty bandaids in the drains and on the floor. Garbage on the floor and in lockers.
An adequate last resort when other lane swimming pools are unavailable. The aquatic area is functional. The water is noticably warmer than the average city pool.
This vibrant and well-used community center serves Barrhaven residents and neighboring areas. It features two rinks, swimming pools, an indoor gym, and more, all conveniently located next to the library. The second floor offers a spacious resting area with great views of the rinks and pools. With its friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere, it’s a great place to spend and enjoy some time.
2 rinks are well maintained and dressing rooms are good quality. Temperature is good. Rinks aren’t too cold. Showers in the dressing rooms have good pressure and the rooms are adequate size and clean. The three pools are great. Library is awesome. I play Hockey here once a week and just love the facilities. One of the better places to play.
I have only used the pools at the sports center. The change room has ample locker space and the showers offer lots of hot water. The facility is pretty clean considering the challenges related to wet floors and dirty footwear. Today there were a lot of people using the pools. There was hair and a bandaid circulating in the shallow pool. The water didn't burn my eyes but hopefully there is enough chlorine to deal with bacteria. Someone kept blowing a whistle but I could not tell what for. Despite the larger number of users there is still a comfortable amount of space for bleachers and benches where parents and non-swimmers can sit and relax. Lots of parking and vending machines are near the front door.
