What an absolute great experience! The service was top notch. Everyone was so attentive. We probably saw 5 different people within 7 minutes of sitting down to service us. I would come back just for the service alone. The drinks and ambiance were spot on. The crab cakes got better and better as we continued to eat them. Our food was good but we do look forward to coming back and trying some new items! They have live music which brings in an even more upscale feel that adds to the place and doesn't overpower the experience.
Wonderful high end steakhouse. Most people dressed up. Open by Mahogany and Kelcie, hence their jersey number #15 and #87. Valet parking. Ask for trophy room tour. It’s a private VIP room for the players, Taylor Swift and family. One with microphone trophy is from Taylor Swift to TK. Really sweet. Food and drink are impeccable. From presentation to taste, I enjoyed it all. I had Alchemy, a cocktail came with fire. Drink is quite strong, similar to Cosmo. Table side bone marrow melt in the pit with fire dripping over steak. Very flavorful. Scallops seared perfectly. Big portions on the scallops. Carb cakes and lobster tail are amazing. The dessert is another level. Warm apple pit with vanilla ice cream makes a perfect ending. We also ordered chocolate cake to try. Just FYI the portion is huge! One dessert can feed 3-4 people. Chic and elegant vibes throughout the dining area. Very very very friendly and attentive staff. They were giving us all kinds of background stories of the place. Honestly one of the must visit restaurants at Kansas City if you have time. Reservations highly recommended.
We had a wonderful date night at 1587 Prime in Kansas City. From the moment we were seated, our servers Del and Evelyn took great care of us. They were friendly, polite, and easy to talk to, and our drinks were always refilled without us having to ask. We ordered the French onion soup, a 6oz petite filet, steak frites, and sautéed mushrooms. The steaks were delicious and cooked perfectly, and the French onion soup was a standout of the meal. For dessert, we shared the carrot cake, which was a huge portion. We also really enjoyed the atmosphere and the live band, which added to the experience. We had a great date night and plan to return.
Make the reservation and go!!! The food was delicious-we had steak, scallops, crap cakes, salmon, tuna and all the sides. I am not a food critic, but I do know when the food is delicious! No complaints on any of the food, just praise! The drinks were equally amazing…the Queen B was my favorite but the Alchemy was a close 2nd! The service was great, everyone was very attentive and informative. The atmosphere and the live music were my absolute favorite! If you can get a reservation, it’s worth the expense!!!
1587 Prime was an excellent spot for dinner. You do need reservations, but once you’re inside, it’s clear why. The atmosphere is lively with a singer performing throughout the restaurant, which made the experience really fun. The food was fantastic- my steak was cooked perfectly, the shrimp were huge (definitely a must-order), and the whipped ricotta was delicious. Portions were generous and filling. Our server was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The bill was on the pricey side, but I expected that going in, and the experience matched the cost. A great spot for a nice date night. I’d absolutely recommend it and will come back the next time I’m in KC.
