I attended 160 Driving Academy this past fall. The instructors focus on teaching you everything you need to know and do in order to pass your CDL-A examination and succeed as a new driver. As with anything in life, you will get out of it what you put into it. Trust your instructors and listen to them. Tim and Annie gave us great tips to help us, especially when they saw we were struggling with something. They also gave us room to practice and figure out how to fix our mistakes. I felt confident when I took my exam and I passed on my first attempt. I am in my second week of training at my first driving job and am doing very well. Thank you for helping me to develop the skills for success.

If I could give this school zero stars I would. This truck driving school is nothing but a scam. The students have to teach each other because all the instructors want to do is sit in the trailer & not teach. The classes are extremely big so don't expect to get any driving time or learn how to do your maneuvers. I highly recommend not wasting your money at this school because you will not get the time or effort you deserve to get your cdl. 160 Drive will take your money but teach you nothing. I regret ever going to this school & trust me multiple other students regret it also. Also if you don't pickup the skills & knowledge within the 2 weeks of class don't expect this school to allow you to come back & train until you feel comfortable to take your test. They wanted to charge me a extra $1200 for 2 extra days which is insane. There are many cdl schools in the Nashville area that will help you get the training & knowledge you pay for & also let you come back at anytime to continue your training after you graduate to sharpen up on your skills until your test date but this school won't unless you give them more money. If you want to get your cdl from trainers who care & want you to succeed & are willing to help you i recommend TENNESSEE CDL SCHOOL in Madison or PROFESSIONAL TRUCKING ACADEMY in Nashville.

I recently completed my CDL Class A training at 160 Driving Academy and I can confidently say this school gave me everything I needed to succeed. I passed my CDL test on the first try, and I owe that to the outstanding instructors Tim and Ann. Instruction Quality Tim and Ann are truly remarkable instructors. They are not only extremely knowledgeable but also patient, encouraging, and detail-oriented. No matter your background or skill level, they know how to break things down step by step and make you feel comfortable behind the wheel of a semi. Their teaching style builds confidence quickly, and they really do have a way of turning anyone into a safe, skilled driver. Both of them take the time to answer every question, walk you through each part of the process, and make sure you understand what you are doing before moving forward. Even when I made mistakes, they never got frustrated. They used those moments as teaching opportunities and that patience and support made all the difference for me. Training Experience From pre-trip inspections to backing maneuvers and road driving, the training was thorough and hands-on. The student to driver ratio was excellent and you are not stuck in a dense pile of students. You get plenty of individual time in the truck which allows you to really practice and build your skills. You are not just taught what you need to pass the test, you are taught how to actually drive and feel comfortable on the road. Thanks to the guidance I received, I was able to approach my CDL exam with confidence and walk away with a passing score on my very first attempt. Room for Improvement If I had to mention one downside, it would be the pre-trip packet they hand out. The material itself is fine and definitely helps, but it is not organized in the exact order you will need to recite during the test. It gets the job done, but it could be polished up to flow more naturally for students. It would be great if the 160 office put some time into updating that to make it even easier to study from. Final Thoughts Overall, I could not be happier with my experience. 160 Driving Academy and especially Tim and Ann gave me the skills and confidence I needed to get my CDL A. If you are serious about getting into the trucking industry, this is the place to be. The instructors truly care about your success and will stick with you until you are ready. Highly recommend this school, and I will always be grateful to Tim and Ann for helping me start my trucking career the right way.

School was made very simple to comprehend and really sets you up for success, Barry is just a great guy and has answers to any questions you may have if ever you miss something from the online teacher. Once you’re on the yard for the training, I couldn’t feel more blessed to have Mr.Tim & Miss Anny as my instructors! The genuine character of these two is undeniable , they really push you to succeed and have made my 4 week long experience so good that it was bittersweet come test time because though I was excited for my test that I was confident to take once the time came after all their coaching , it was a sour feeling knowing it meant I wouldn’t get to be around these two amazing people as much anymore. I’d recommend this school to anybody with a winning mindset willing to apply yourself and care to succeed as much as they’d care for you to succeed! I forgot to mention I went to this school with no prior experience or driving or backing a trailer! I was one of the 7 students in a row to graduate from 160 academy just in the time I was there (one & Done) and there were at least two ready to test the next week that were doing great and I’m sure they’ll pass also!
