First time visitor and was greeted by Cory. The gentleman took his time to give me a tour of the facility. The gym was clean well organized, and the service was amazing. Thanks for the attention and the service you provided. Highly recommend this gym.
Adding to a recent review describing the same ongoing issue—this is not isolated. The sauna at this 24 Hour Fitness (Irving) has been out of service since November. After nearly two months, it was repaired for one day, then failed again. As of today, sauna remain unavailable. I spoke with Cory, who alternated between marketing, sales, and service manager (for the day) roles depending on the question. The answers were consistent: 1) No repair timeline 2) Nothing provided in writing 3) No proration or refund 4) “Not our responsibility—contact corporate” 5) General Manager Torrence Walker unavailable I asked for a simple written confirmation that no repair date exists. That was refused. I asked for fair proration for months of lost service. Also refused. When multiple members report the same broken amenities, same lack of communication, and same deflection to “corporate,” this is no longer an inconvenience—it’s a pattern. Posting this so others don’t join with false expectations. ***Update on 01/21*** Following up to document a direct conversation with the General Manager, Torrence Walker. Mr. Walker stated he is “responsible” for the club, yet: - No repair timeline - Refuses to put in writing that no date exists - Redirects escalation to corporate , all the way to the Chairman - Encourages members to escalate externally to force action He also stated the sauna is “just an amenity” and that 24 Hour Fitness is not a spa—implying it is not a core service. That framing is misleading. The sauna is marketed and sold as part of the membership, not as a courtesy. It is a paid amenity, not a bonus. Facts: - Sauna out of service since November - Briefly repaired after nearly two months - Failed again the next day - No timeline - No written acknowledgment - No proration This is no longer a maintenance issue—it is a lack of transparency, accountability, and fair billing. Posting this so future members know exactly what is—and isn’t—guaranteed.
Let me start off by saying that I'm well aware covid had an impact on businesses and people in general. However; we can't keep using that as an excuse to justify bad business or bad attitudes anywhere in the marketplace. 24hr fitness is multi billion dollar company and us members are paying monthly dues on top of maintenance fees every year RIGHT?? So please explain to me why anything should be out of service at this location???? The steam room temp is terribly low for starters. I've experienced hotter and steamier moments watching paint dry then what is being provided at this location. The sauna is "out of service" and the heated whirlpool has yellow tape wrapped around it as if a gruesome crime occurred and they're waiting for detectives to come and investigate!!! Seriously???? I recently signed up through benefits offered at my work and when I went in to finish my enrollment steps, I was told on Jan. 5th that the sauna would be fixed the following week. Well, I went in last night on Jan. 13th around 6pm and after some laps in the pool, I decided to finish off my time in the steam room because the sauna is STILL not working. There were several members that mentioned the sauna has actually been "out of service" for about a month! Or was that the jacuzzi? REGARDLESS... nothing and I mean nothing should be out of service or unavailable for your paying members to use for more than a reasonable amount of time. When I left, I stopped by the front desk to ask what the status is on getting the sauna fixed and guess what....YUP... "hopefully by next week"!!!! I was also told that it's in "corporate's hands" and "they're the ones that find the contractors". So in other words, just keep paying your monthly dues and we'll get to it when we get to it. Well it's very unfortunate. When consumers are trying to make their health a priority by adding a gym membership as a tool to implement said healthy lifestyle, it's discouraging to know that a MULTI BILLION DOLLAR company is doing the complete opposite of what was promised to us when we sign up! We pay you to provide the tools we need to better our health. When you don't provide the goods, you're stealing from us. Please FIX THE SAUNA, STEAM ROOM AND JACUZZI. Respectfully of course. Otherwise folks....get your membership somewhere else. I wish I had known about these issues at this location before signing up. 24HR Fitness used to be an elite and coveted place to work out at. I hope someone at LongRange Capital sees this and Mark Mastrov should be ashamed of his self for letting the company go down the drain. I doubt very much this location is the only one with issues like this. DO BETTER 24HR FIT
This gym is such a blessing to this city. Super convenient, friendly front staff at check in, Cory was especially helpful and clearly cares about the quality of service and experience offered here. Equipment is kept clean and in working order except the occasional stair master, and the sauna could use some cleaning love. Those are the two most difficult things to maintain I’m sure. Everyone here is kind, respectful, and here to work on themselves to get stronger, healthier, and live their best lives.
Poor management compare to the branches , Everything is under maintenance, there is some equipment that are more than 2 months that is not getting fixed and are out of service swimming pool is not clean and most of the time it’s under maintenance, jacuzzi is out of service more than 3 months.
