My husband and I had just had our bowling balls resurfaced at the pro shop and the gentleman there did a great job (even though he was forced to work by himself during a busy time of the day). He suggested that we try them out to see if the surface worked for us, as they can adjust the surface based on our bowling needs. Since we live quite a distance away, we decided to play a few games and this is the reason for my two star rating. First of all, the only option was to pay by the hour and not by the game. This made the whole experience stressful and irritating; making it impossible to effectively test our bowling balls. Making matters worse, the bowling alley was only half full, but they crammed a bunch of bowlers together on one side of the building. We ended up being put between two large groups of people with a bunch of kids that had no bowling etiquette. With only having one hour to bowl for $30, it felt like we were speed bowling in between the other bowlers around us competing for a turn to bowl. This made it impossible to focus on our game or to test our bowling balls effectively. Lastly, we were on the 10th frame of our third game and the lane was just shut down at exactly the 1 hour mark preventing us from finishing the game. What an absolute joke and the most terrible experience we have ever had bowling!!

Don’t ever lose anything here!!!! I left my purse on accident only to return the next day and someone STOLE EVERYTHING BUT the PURSE, all my debit cards, credit cards, driver’s license and all GONE! and I guarantee it was an employee that replaced it with foreign money and belongings that aren’t mine! They aren’t friendly and give off RACIST vibes! The “manager” told me he didn’t have time to look at the cameras anymore as they were “busy” after looking all of 15 minutes! The police have been contacted and I’m not letting this go. I’ll never go here again

Review for 5 Star Lanes 📍 2666 Metro Parkway, Sterling Heights, MI 48310 5 Star Lanes is hands down one of the best bowling centers in Macomb County — and easily my personal favorite. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by some of the kindest and most genuine people around. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and the owners truly go above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome. You can tell they care deeply about their bowlers and their business. The lanes are always in great shape, featuring Brunswick Pro Anvil panels, and the oil conditions are consistently fresh — perfect for both league bowlers and casual games. Now, the food deserves its own shoutout. The pizzas and burgers are incredible — the kind that make you want to come back just to eat again. Overall, 5 Star Lanes is the definition of a family-friendly, fun-filled bowling center. With 50 lanes, awesome leagues, and cosmic bowling for just $20 an hour, it’s a great place for everyone — from serious bowlers to families just looking for a good night out. Decent bowling place Lanes are clean and ample space Price for the lanes are moderate but shoes are expensive and quite old. Food is very average, as Pizza was so hard and cheese wasn’t fresh. Had a great new party package experience for 3 hours. If you are looking for the decent option for hangout then this place won’t disappoint you.
