I took 10 driving lessons at 911 University District, and overall the experience was disappointing. The instructors I worked with (I’m happy to share names privately if needed) had a harsh and impatient teaching style. Since I was already nervous about driving, this approach damaged my confidence rather than helping me build it. After switching to a different driving school for additional lessons and passed the test there at my first driving test attempt ever, I realized that my fear of driving wasn’t the issue - making mistakes is a normal part of learning, and I was treated with patience and encouragement instead of being talked down to. That contrast made it clear how unhelpful my earlier experience had been. While the scheduling staff was polite and I’m sure there may be other instructors with different teaching styles, I wouldn’t recommend this school to beginners or anxious drivers who want a supportive and confidence-building learning environment.

David Chen is the GOAT. I did the 30 mins warmup+ drivers test. He was super friendly and calming which was very useful as I had a crappy experience with IDA Driving school (do not recommend). He was very thorough with all the things to keep an eye out for and how to do the exam as I already knew how to drive but IDA failed me. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE 30mins+test package with DAVID!!!!

I had a great experience taking my driving test with 911 Driving School. The process was smooth, well organized, and the staff were friendly and professional. My examiner, Joshua Chan, was calm, patient, and made me feel comfortable throughout the test. He gave very good feedback after the driving test. Overall, it was a very positive driving test experience. I’d definitely recommend 911 Driving School and give Joshua Chan a 5-star rating for his professionalism and supportive attitude!

My experience with the school was great. From scheduling to class, everything was prompt. My instructor was Julian and he was excellent. He had a structured program in mind based on my past driving experience (or lack off) and with the number of class I purchased. He was heavily focused on making sure I learnt safe driving practices , corrected mistakes promptly, exposed me to different driving scenarios which helped me learn a lot in a short span. Highly recommend the instructor!

Instructor Chen is highly professional and knowledgeable. He guided my parents through their driving tests with great patience and kindness, helping to ease their stress and build confidence. Even though it was just a single test, they learned many valuable details about driving in the U.S. from him. The staff at the driving school are also very helpful and patient. When there was a language barrier, they took the initiative to use Google Translate or contact me directly to bridge the gap and ensure clear communication. We highly recommend Instructor Chen and the entire team, especially for anyone seeking a skilled and compassionate Chinese-speaking driving instructor.
