I have nothing but praise and appreciation for A+ Transmission. I drove from California and discovered I had a transmission leak, was referred to A+ Transmission from Kwik Kar (Georgetown). Was treated with courtesy and respect. Car was diagnosed, parts ordered and work done in time frame initially told. I would refer A+ to anyone in need of transmission work.

My wife and I were on a road trip hauling our RV when our GMC Sierra 1500 lit up with a transmission-overheated alert. Perfect timing, right? I pulled over immediately and—by sheer luck—we were within sight of A Plus Transmission Specialists. One short tow later, we rolled up, we were greeted like we were long-lost family instead of two stressed travelers with a disabled truck. There happened to be a hotel right next door, so getting settled for the night was painless. After I explained the symptoms, he made an educated guess about the problem before he even popped the hood. We left the truck for their free diagnostic, and sure enough, his suspicion was dead on. My truck has always been serviced by GMC dealerships, so I assumed everything had been done by the book. Turns out… not so much. The transmission had been overfilled, which explained the shuddering I’d been feeling for months and why it finally vented fluid on the highway. Even after it vented, the pan still held the proper amount—proof it had been overfilled to begin with. He walked me through exactly what needed to be done, no pressure, no upsells, no nonsense. After one night in the shop, he had us back on the road by noon the next day. Their speed, honesty, and professionalism were a huge relief—especially when you’re stranded far from home with an RV in tow. The final bill was another pleasant surprise. I fully expected to get hammered with a big repair cost, but their price was more than fair. Suffice it to say, my recommendation for A Plus Transmission Specialists comes with zero hesitation and a whole lot of gratitude. If you find yourself in trouble anywhere near them, don’t think twice—these folks know their craft, and they treat you right.

Very helpful and knowledgeable. Tim checked my car and found it had a shimmer so instead of replacing expensive parts on my transmission, he treated the fluid. Because of his honesty, I paid $130 instead of $3000 or more. Thank You!

Tim was fantastic, communicating with me every step of the way, from towing my truck in, sending the online analysis of the issues and repairs being done, and taking care of me when I came in to pickup … my pickup!

Been here multiple times now and the experience, service and price is a 5 star rating every time. I haven't had an auto service that I'd come back to like this in many years but Tim knows how to run this place and is honest (hard to come by these days). I went in just for a routine transmission fluid drain and fill in my Nissan Titan (no problems, just preventative maintenance). He could've easily sold me an extra service I asked about but he let me know my transfer case oil for the 4x4 was in great condition and didn't need to be changed. Many would've said it needed to be done and others would've said it was done but really wasn't since they know we wouldn't know how to check that if it were done or not. I like Tim's demeanor as it's not a typical salesman "yes man" kind of fake attitude to make you like him so you come back.... he'll tell you how it is like a man without sugar coating it dramatizing it. I'll continue to come here for my and my wife's service for these reasons. Thanks, Tim! Keep it up and don't get a promotion because we want you to stay there!
