Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had at a shop. I dropped my truck off to figure out what was wrong with it. A week after I dropped the truck off, after they were closed for a week without informing me, they removed the transmission and disassembled it, they quoted me more than the price of a new transmission on a rebuild. I bought a new transmission from the dealer for my Ford F150 and had it dropped off at the shop. They installed it for me, and after picking my truck up and paying their high price for labor, my airbag light was on, my rear driver side door shows it's always open, my subwoofer isn't working anymore, and there were holes in my passenger seat. I left a sealed bag of peanuts in my glove compartment and that was their reason as to how it was my fault that rats/mice got into my truck interior, chewing wires, the peanuts, and the seat. -100/5 do not recommend
David was quick to pickup the phone and provide amazing customer service. Saved me money on giving me a plan to tow to the shop as well as extremely quick turn around and was given step by step diagnosis and repair. Quite literally saved me thousands compared to the dealership when my truck transmission went out. Super easy to work with, expert technicians and great customer service. They needed cash or Zelle and I was even given a ride to the bank in order to facilitate the transaction by the head mechanic. Great place that does an amazing job and are experts in their fields! Thank you so much to David and Osacr for getting me back in the road!
My car broke down in Austin and I had it towed to this show. They ran diagnostics and gave me their opinions! I really appreciated that because they were suggesting it was a fuel pump issue and they didn’t guarantee the work that I should take it elsewhere! I’m grateful for their honestly and being upfront about everything! If I ever need transmission work, I would definitely get them to check it out!
I took my 2007 Tahoe to Reliable about 10 years ago. The 4L80 had gone out and he was the lowest price I could find. When I picked it up, there was a small issue. After some banter back and forth David agreed to correct the situation and the transmission (that went out at 90,000 miles) now has over 200,000 miles on it and runs like it should. No issues. Fast forward to a few weeks ago. My 2010 Silverado has a 6L80 that went out. Got a price from two other shops for over $7k. I remembered David at Reliable and called him. I had it towed there and they rebuilt the transmission. When I picked it up it started running hot a couple of days later. I took it back and dropped it off. David, at no charge, supplied and installed a transmission cooler. I picked it up a couple of days ago and now the transmission temps are MUCH lower and it runs fine. $4,500 at Reliable vs $7k+ elsewhere. Also, I almost forgot, I had lost the key to the truck. David had it towed there for $100 (it cost me $190 to have it towed home prior to this from about 1/2 the distance). Then he had his lock guy make me two new chip keys and an extra to get in the door for a little over $100. Everywhere I had called to come cut a new key wanted $150+ for one chip key and $50 for a second on.
