Hi 😊 When I joined the gym, I weighed 85 kilos and now I weigh 60 kilos. My biggest achievement, apart from the weight I lost, is the muscles. It is clear that all the cellulite on my thighs has disappeared. This couldn’t happen easily except with a smart exercise program designed and implemented by my personal trainer (Rhodri)every week with the same commitment and precision as on the first day, and patience with me during times when I was extremely unable to do the exercises. All this happened in a long time. The result I got today is a healthy mother with a beautiful and strong body. I posted this review, maybe it will help those who are worried about losing money and time, and most importantly, their health, and have a dream that they need a safe gym with an experienced trainer to achieve.
Myself and my partner have almost completed the 6 week transformation programme with Jamie @ Manchester ABS. What a fantastic but challenging experience it has been for us both. Jamie is a fantastic PT, really knowledgable and very easy to work with. If I could give a higher rating I would because our transformation has been fantastic and given us tools for life to carry on towards reaching our goals.
I have been an on and off client of ABS for many years. This time around, I’ve been training with Rhod at the Castle Street gym in Liverpool City Centre, and am currently half way through my second 8 week course with him. The results that he has helped me to achieve in that time are so far beyond what I thought could be possible. I look (and feel) like a completely different person, and am the strongest and fittest that I have ever been. And although every session is challenging, and Rhod pushes me as far as he possibly can, I have really enjoyed the process. The gym itself is clean and modern, and all the trainers there are super friendly and welcoming. Can’t recommend highly enough, it’s worth every penny.
I originally signed up with Joe at ABS for the 6 week program, having never been to the gym or worked out before. My main aim was to lose a few pounds and learn how to exercise, gaining confidence so I could go to the gym alone. In addition to the guidance and advice in the sessions and my nutritional plan, I’ve also received advice from Joe on improving my sleep, which I’ve always struggled with. Not only have I lost weight, but my sleep and overall energy levels have also seen a significant improvement. After completing the 6 weeks I feel I could have left ABS with enough confidence to go the gym alone, however, I decided to continue longer with Joe because I enjoy the sessions. This is down to the atmosphere and team in ABS, in particular Joe, who somehow makes even the hardest sessions enjoyable. I’d recommend ABS to anyone, in particular anyone who, like me, has no previous experience with fitness and doesn’t know where to start.
I started training with Joe at ABS about five months ago as a complete beginner with little knowledge of working out and feeling pretty intimidated by the gym. From day one ABS has been really welcoming and accommodating of my disability— Joe created a plan that worked for me, and always listened to any concerns I had along the way. He also put together a diet plan that fit around my fussy eating, which helped me put on 17kg (after many years of struggling to put on weight) and start building muscle and strength with visible results by the end of our first 16-week programme. What I really appreciate is that Joe cares about me as a person, not just as a client. He’s helped me gain confidence in both my appearance and my physical ability, and I always enjoy our conversations during sessions. Every workout is tailored to me, challenging but still enjoyable, which makes training something I genuinely look forward to. I’ve had an incredible experience at ABS with Joe, as well as the rest of the team, who are all incredibly supportive and friendly. I’d highly recommend ABS to anyone, especially beginners like myself looking to start their fitness journey.
