My experience goes back 30 years. First, there was a broken bed which they made a sideboard for it. Perfect match. For years with our family, we delayed fixing things. Gradually, we decided to repair and fix our furniture. I had a end table that had the surface chipped, our so called "handyman" said use penetrating stain. It looked awful after 3 years. Ackerman's just did the chipped surface and did not insist on redoing the whole thing. Wow! We had two chairs that the finish was OK but joints were loose and wobbly. Ackerman reglued them at a reasonable price. Lastly, we had an old solid walnut dresser a wedding present in 1905 for my wife's great grandmother. Veneer pieces were gone, water marks, chipped finish. We got a quote that was astronomical and they were going to pickup and deliver. Others did not return our call so we went back to Ackerman's. They do not do pickup and delivery. We hired someone for $80/trip x2=$160.00+tip. With that, we saved quite a bit. Even if you have a pickup or SUV, do you really want to lift heavy items. Movers will also place it where you want. Got one last thing to fix which requires mechanical "know how". Ackerman's will be doing it!
