It was really just okay. Came here for the dine out experience and had a nice evening. The service was really friendly and attentive, which was our favorite part of the evening. The food was just alright. We had the beet salad, char crudo, beef rib, mushroom pizza and tiramisu. None of the dishes stood out as special to us. The beet salad was fresh but a bit bland. The crudo was more interesting to eat, the big roe were juicy and flavorful. The beef rib was really lacking salt and my partner’s piece had a fatty section that hadn’t broken down enough. The pizza was tasty, but the dough was a touch undercooked- it was super dense and wet in the middle. The tiramisu was fine, but dryer than I would have liked. The atmosphere was really nice— the tall ceilings and comfy seating made for an enjoyable stay. Overall, we experienced a very everyday meal for a more than everyday price. For that reason, we likely won’t be regulars.
First, when i first went there a few years back (before they became a Michelin recommended restaurant), I was honestly impressed. Everything was amazing from food to service. I had a pleasantly memorable experience overall. Now 2026 I went back again for dineout. It was honestly a let down. Service was nothing like you’d expect at a high end restaurant, from hosts and servers. It’s at most a mid tier vibe. Most ppl acted like they didnt really care about customers, except for the food runners. Maybe they were busy? but still. The appetizers (carpaccio, crudo) were great, the mains (sablefish, steak) were okay, the tiramisu was wonderful but we didn’t even want to finish the sorbet…
As a Michelin recommended restaurant I expected more! We were there for a birthday and started off with a few cocktails at the bar. Then later we moved on over to the dining room. We started off with a Lambrusco then ordered four appetizers: burrata, squid, caesar salad and the carpaccio. The appetizers were mediocre and the burrata was too empowered by the red cabbage but the carpaccio was delightful. Our Mains we shared a pasta of the day (linguine vongole) porterhouse, lamb rack risotto, assorted veggies, truffle fries and the burrata pizza. Start with the best, the steak was made to perfection, a lighter season to my palette but it was wonderfully made and tender. The lamb rack was salty and the pasta was cold and had shell bits. The pizza was very wet and soggy. Our server was probably a bit green and when we had two red bottles and on our second bottle she poured it unevenly for the six of us and the server asked our friend to pour some back from there glass but luckily another friend came to the rescue and preferred the smaller glass. They then offer us a tiramisu and another small dessert for the birthday girl which was a nice gesture. We expected at fine dining restaurant, the hospitality and food would be better and perhaps at least a check in from the manager. It was a great night out catching up with friends but acquafarina won’t be our choice in the near future.
We came to this restaurant on a weekday dinner with reservations at 5:30. The restaurant wasn’t very full at that time but it quickly fills up as the night goes on. I would recommend making reservations if you have a big group. Parking is paid on side street or the parking garage nearby using pay by phone. The service was attentive and the server asked about our food throughout the dinner. We sat at the cover outside patio with heaters nearby. It wasn’t cold at all even with the rain in December. This evening, there were a few big groups near us so it was a bit noisy. The food portion was decent size and it was very delicious. Everything from the cocktails all the way to the dessert was amazing. The Romeo and Juliet pasta kind of looked and tasted like Asian dumplings. It was a good dish.
A Standout Dining Experience, Thanks to Kayla Our evening at Acquafarina was exceptional from start to finish, and Kayla was a huge part of what made it unforgettable. She was warm, confident, and incredibly knowledgeable — guiding us through the menu with genuine enthusiasm. She shared her favourite dishes, suggested thoughtful add-ons and accompaniments, and helped our group build a perfectly curated meal. We ordered a wide range of dishes — gnocchi, lobster linguini, caviar served in a beautiful high-tea style presentation, tenderloin, plates of oysters, wagyu, and several cocktails. Every single item was A-plus. The food and wine menu were absolutely spot-on, and our entire party of seven was blown away. Kayla’s hospitality was the best I’ve experienced in a restaurant in a long time. She elevated the night for all of us, and she absolutely deserves recognition — including Employee of the month!
