Lovely and cozy restaurant with nice private seating. A great place for a relaxed conversation over a great meal. Our waiter helped us decide and recommended an antipasto and dinner plates - everything was delicious. Especially loved the focaccia bread and meatballs

A fantastic Italian place with delicious pasta dishes and great romantic vibes! We didn't have reservations, but we were able to be seated quickly. Their pastas are full of flavour, with some great cocktails to go with them. I highly recommend trying them out :)

Cozy restaurant perfect for a romantic date. Staff was extremely attentive and friendly. We had a reservation for 5pm but we were a bit early (got there before opening time) and they seated us and got us started with drinks anyway. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Went there for my birthday dinner with my fiancé and they even put a candle on the dessert. Everything was excellent but the highlight for me was their espresso martini!

The space offers a charming contrast of classic architecture and modern culinary finesse—an ideal backdrop for an elevated dining experience. Food Foie Parfait Crostini with Grape Mostarda A beautifully executed starter, the foie parfait was luxuriously smooth and well-balanced by the sweet acidity of the grape mostarda. The crostini delivered a crisp texture that contrasted nicely with the richness of the foie, while a light salad added freshness and visual appeal. It’s a dish that speaks volumes through its restraint and balance. 9/10 Octopus Mosaic with Limoncello Vinaigrette Thinly sliced and elegantly plated, the octopus mosaic was both visually captivating and delicately flavored. The limoncello vinaigrette brought a bright, citrus-forward lift to the dish, enhancing the tender octopus without overwhelming it. A masterful balance of technique and flavor. 9/10 Ribeye Steak with Roasted Fingerlings and Arugula Cooked to a perfect rare, the ribeye showcased excellent seasoning and a satisfying sear. The roasted fingerling potatoes added depth and heartiness, while the arugula salad lent a peppery contrast that rounded out the plate. It’s a dish that leans into simplicity but delivers on all fronts. 9/10 Desserts Chocolate Torte & Tiramisu Both desserts were thoughtfully plated and well-prepared. The tiramisu was classic and enjoyable, with a light texture and balanced sweetness. However, the chocolate torte was the true standout—decadent, intense, and deeply satisfying. 8/10 Service Service at Lupo was warm, polished, and attentive without being intrusive. Our server was highly knowledgeable, offering insightful recommendations and guiding the experience with ease. The staff’s professionalism elevated the meal significantly. 9/10 Ambiance Set within a beautifully preserved historic home, the restaurant exudes warmth and charm. The interior is tastefully appointed—clean, intimate, and subtly elegant. It strikes an ideal balance between upscale dining and comfortable familiarity. 8/10 Price While Lupo sits at a higher price point, the quality of ingredients, execution, and service justify the cost. It’s a restaurant that delivers excellent value for a fine dining experience. Verdict Lupo Restaurant & Vinoteca is a hidden gem in Vancouver’s dining scene—an experience defined by thoughtful execution, exceptional ingredients, and heartfelt service. We had a wonderful evening the food was truly delicious and the young female staff member who served us was outstanding! She was attentive and professional and really made us feel well taken care of😊 This 5 ⭐️ is for her! But! unfortunately, I must also point out several issues that were very disappointing: 1. AC leakage: My jacket was completely soaked by dripping water. When I mentioned this to another staff member, the only response I received was, “Thank you for letting me know,” with no further assistance or attempt to resolve the issue. While I chose to let it go this kind of response felt inappropriate. 2. Extremely poor attitude during checkout. I wanted to discreetly settle the bill myself so my friend wouldn’t notice but the bald middle-aged male staff member was impatient and dismissive. His tone was rude and far below the standard of service expected at a restaurant of this level. 3. Lack of care toward colleagues : This same staff member told an elderly white-haired waiter that a guest needed a takeaway. Instead of helping me with the payment process, he simply grabbed the takeaway and walked off. This behavior was shocking and unprofessional to witness. What I found most unacceptable was that I strongly suspected this bald middle-aged staff member displayed discriminatory behavior against Asian customers. For a restaurant of this caliber, encountering such treatment was both shocking and deeply disappointing.
