I am so thankful a dear friend of mine referred me to Dr. Shim. My initial exam was thorough and I felt confident Dr. Shim would be the right choice for me. I appreciate his insight and attention to detail. I asked about some supplements after my 4th visit to help with a concern and I am beginning to see the benefits. My body is healing itself at its own time frame. I believe the pricing is reasonable when you look at the big picture. You don’t come to him for a Groupon price because he is quality and his thorough education comes through with his words and guidance. His calm demeanor is an added bonus.

After struggling for over a year with migraines, elbow pain, and upper back pain, I decided to try acupuncture at Acupuncture & Integrated Healthcare in Flower Mound, just a short drive from Argyle. I had already tried everything—stretches, cortisone shots, arm braces, MRIs, medications, and medical massages—but nothing provided lasting relief. After just a few acupuncture sessions with Dr. Shim, I started feeling real improvement. Within ten sessions, my headaches were nearly gone, and my arm and back pain had greatly decreased. I no longer need pain medication, and I’m finally sleeping better. Even though my insurance didn’t cover acupuncture, the overall cost was similar to (or less than) all the copays from my previous doctor visits. The office staff is friendly, caring, and professional, and Dr. Shim has excellent bedside manner and truly listens. I only wish I had found this place sooner! I highly recommend Acupuncture & Integrated Healthcare in Flower Mound and Dr. Shim for anyone dealing with chronic pain, migraines, or tension. I plan to continue acupuncture as part of my regular preventative care—it’s truly made a difference.
