Since starting in August, our 8-year-old has shown tremendous growth in a short period of time. He has made impressive progress learning to play the guitar and has recently begun to gain confidence in singing as well. Mr. Michelson is patient, encouraging, and truly gifted in working with children. Lessons are structured yet engaging, and the incorporation of God’s word and worship into the music and learning materials makes this program truly special. From my experience, Mr. Michaelson brings a rare mix of passion, drive, and real dedication to his students. He takes education seriously and genuinely cares, giving thoughtful guidance and support. He has a natural knack for connecting with students and acts as a catalyst to help them unlock strengths they already have. He helps students discover their talents and encourages them to explore and develop their gifts. He’s great at meeting students where they are, quickly spotting places to grow, and laying out clear, doable steps to get there. Under his mentorship, my daughter has improved technically and grown in confidence and love for worship arts. If you want a welcoming, results‑driven program that respects each student’s individuality while nudging them to reach their potential, Agape Worship Arts is a fantastic choice. And if you’re looking for a faith‑based vibe for vocal and instrument learning, this program fits perfectly.

My child has been coming to Agape Worship Arts since October. Even in two months I’ve seen major growth in his skill but most importantly his confidence. Mr. Michelson is knowledgeable, encouraging, and always points his students towards Jesus. Couldn’t ask for a better class or teacher!

We cannot recommend Agape enough. My boys (ages 5 and 9) love going to lessons and learning how to play. They have learned more and faster than we ever expected. Jonathan, the teacher, goes beyond just reading notes on a page or memorization and teaches the children how music actually works. My son was able to put together notes and chords that he hadn’t been taught because of the foundation he’s gaining in class. He is incredibly patient even when my boys are hyper or have difficulty focusing. He knows how to switch gears and reengage them so they can continue learning. Beyond just the music, Jonathan really inspires a heart for worship in the hearts of a students. The integration of faith and worship studies sets this school apart from the rest. It does my heart so good to hear my son talk about Faith stories and what he’s learning in class about the Bible and God. Like I said before, I could not recommend this place enough if you were looking for a place that in a great faith and a true heart of worship into teaching your child how to play an instrument.

Agape Worship Arts School of Music has been a tremendous blessing to our family. Mr. Michelson makes an effort to pour into our children musically and spiritually. He has been our older children’s music teacher for 7 years, even before God paved the way for him to open Agape Worship Arts School. They have both grown to understand how their musical talents are a gift from God that should be used to bring Him honor and glory. AND they were able to take what they learned at Agape and join the adult worship team at our church!! They are the only youth serving on the team, so it’s an encouragement to the entire church to witness using their musical talents to worship God every Sunday. Our two youngest children also began to take lessons with Mr. Michelson! We are excited to see how God will use them as they grow musically and spiritually. Mr. Michelson and his wife, Deanna, are committed to serving our city and to raising up worship warriors. We highly recommend Agape if you are looking to learn an instrument, freshen up your skills, or simply wanting to grow closer to God through your worship.
