I cannot recommend this dance studio more! I was having trouble at first finding a dance studio in Alaska, but I’m so glad that I found this one because hands-down this one is the best. Michelle, the main teacher was so helpful in guiding me through the difficult journey of always wanting to dance, but not sure where to start, what classes to do and how to get moving forward. I’ve been going six weeks now and I absolutely love it so much. I’m finally doing what I’ve always dreamed of doing and loving it. you don’t have to be crazy talented or all the other things. There are multiple instructors that guide you and help you through it such an incredible time and I’m excited to continue onto the next class!

I highly recommend Alaska Dance Promotions. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by a warm and welcoming atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at ease. The instructors are fantastic, offering easy-to-follow lessons that cater to all levels, whether you're an absolute beginner or a returning dancer, looking to refine your skills. The passion for dance here is contagious, plus the price of classes can't be beat. It's wonderful to have such a vibrant dance community here in Alaska, and I feel luck to be a part of it! Check them out!

Truly a gem of not only the Alaska Latin Dance Community, but the Latin Dance Community as a whole! The owner, Shelly, has consistently created great classes, socials, teams, festivals, and other events over the past 16 years, always ensuring attendees feel welcome, comfortable, and appreciated. Coming for the Alaska Salsa Festival from California's Bay Area, where we have a huge community with major events and superstar instructors, I wasn't expecting much. Now I have to say it's one of my absolute favorite places in the entire country to go dancing! They are truly small but mighty. And in case you're worried that you have 3 left feet and can't ever dance, she, and her staff, are incredibly patient and kind instructors that will get you dancing sooner than you could believe. Check them out!

Alaska Dance Promotions is great dance studio - they offer classes that are perfect for both very beginners that are looking to build solid dance foundations, as well as the more experienced dancer looking to challenge themselves and grow. The studio is staffed with instructors that are genuinely excited to share their knowledge with their students, and. those looking for more one-on-one instruction have that opportunity as well through private lessons. Every Friday, the studio also holds an evening dance social where you’re able to put what you learned in class into practice. If you’re looking for something fun you can enjoy all year round regardless of the weather, full of people that are welcoming regardless of any prior dance experience, Alaska Dance Promotions is definitely the place to go.

Review is for the Friday night salsa socials 9pm-1am - Michelle and her team run a great little social out here in Alaska! People are friendly and welcoming to visitors esp since local community is fairly small. Beginners welcome and they toss in a fun dance class at the beginning. Data for dancers: Ratio of songs are 4 bachata: 4 salsa: 2 zouk/kizomba/merengue, with a bias towards whatever dance was taught that night. Danced mainly as a lead and didn't run out of dances. :) For salsa, more on1 than on2 dancers (music leans Romantica). I'll be stopping by whenever I'm in Anchorage on a Friday night! :)
