Sarah's acupuncture practice has made such a difference in my day to day life - I had such bad neck pain and headaches it was impacting my sleep, work, exercise and mood. If you've just been diagnosed with Bell's Palsy and don’t know what to do next, I've been there. I want to share what helped me most: acupuncture with Dr. Sarah Maiden. After a short course of steroids from my primary care doctor, I was told recovery could take weeks or months, with no real options to support my healing, just “wait and see.” A few weeks later, a colleague mentioned that a friend had treated their Bell’s Palsy with acupuncture. That was the turning point for me. I first visited Dr. Maiden about a month after the onset. Even starting treatment that late, I experienced steady, meaningful progress, and I truly believe it helped make my recovery possible. I’ve received consistent acupuncture and herbal support for the past 8 months, and I’m so grateful to say I’ve regained normal function – I can smile, speak naturally, and fully close my left eye! Dr. Maiden is a gifted practitioner – knowledgeable, gentle, thoughtful, and incredibly effective. She creates a space that feels safe and supportive. Sarah is an incredible practitioner, she is deeply intuitive, extremely experienced, and really listens. She’s able to tune in into very subtle aspects of the ailments presented, and address them with acupuncture needling and herbal supplementation. I highly recommend Sarah! I had my first acupuncture experience here when I had an acute lower back spasm and could barely walk! After two sessions with Sarah Maiden, my pain went down significantly, and after 3 I am ready to exercise again with minimal pain to the area. We have begun working on other areas and I’ve learned about several applications of acupuncture I never knew about, including anxiety and TMJ. Sarah takes a scientific approach and listens attentively to concerns. I am an official acupuncture convert and enthusiastically recommend Sarah!! Plus, the office is in a gorgeous building that promotes healing upon walking into the courtyard.
