Pet Resort Dallas provided our dog with nothing but the very best care and love for over six years! Our chihuahua is afflicted with massive separation anxiety from his time before we adopted him; he had been passed around a lot. Still, even when he goes nuts when we leave him at home in his crate, there wasn't a single time that he wasn't excited beyond belief to go back to Pet Resort Dallas. Seriously, one look at anyone at the front desk and he felt instantly at home; squeaking with joy at the staff. They'd always embrace him by name and were so excited to see him, too. The staff is very communicative by any means you prefer, they make your pet accessible at literally any hour of the day to accommodate travel schedules, and they're always respectful. Additionally, our little 5-lb. guy was notorious for rough-housing with other dogs, so they were more than hospitable to limit him to one-on-one play so he wouldn't get into trouble but still stayed active. They even let you know well in advance of any vaccinations in need of an update and will also communicate directly with your vet to transfer records. Although we're moving away from Dallas soon, we can't recommend Pet Resort Dallas enough and would use their kind services any time we return. We always had peace of mind leaving our ol' boy with the team there and trusted them faithfully with each new visit. A+ all the way! Thanks to the entire PRD team for taking care of "Big" Lou and we hope to see you down the road! We are so grateful for everything you've done for our pup and us!
I absolutely love this place and so does Bradley Cooper (my fur-child). He is excited when I take him in and he comes out look happy and ready to take a nap after a day of playing with his friends. I love that there is live feed that I can watch on my phone to see that my baby is safe and playing with his friends, and the staff is always upbeat, friendly, and helpful. Everyone has great customer service, which is hard to find in businesses nowadays; it makes a huge difference. Keep up the great work! :-)
Extremely caring and devoted staff. My dog loves going and getting the pup cups or treats. The ability to drop off or pick up anytime is a plus! Highly recommend.
Strict schedule.1-2 hr play time in the morning, lunch, and evening. Other than those times, each dog is in a private room. Probably great for boarding but I was looking for day care with lots of intermingling and playtime. I work from home so I don’t need a baby sitter, just looking for a place that is fun and gets her energy out while I’m working.
I would NOT recommend this place for boarding if you have an older dog or special needs dog. Our dog is a senior rescue and was left in her kennel for 24 hours without ever being let out or fed. Our response from the “manager” was that overnight employees must have forgotten. We figured out what happened by watching on camera every time the dogs were let outside. We tried calling the number after hours and not one person ever bothered to answer. Finally got a hold of somebody the following day and they finally admitted to their lack of care and oversight. Another issue we had that occurred every single time was our senior dog was on a special diet, which we provided the food. We purposely dropped off extra cans to see if we’d get the extra cans back, never happened out of all the times we went there. Every time we got our dog back, she had major digestive issues that required Veterinary care. Pretty certain the same overnight workers would steal the food we brought and feed our dog the food in house.
