The facilities were clean and have the potential to be something really special. Expectations will determine if you will enjoy this experience. Are you looking for an apres ski hotel hotub party vibe? Then, this is your place. If youre looking for a relaxing Nordic spa, then this is not the place. Additionally, it was entirely too crowded to the point that you cannot use the facilities. Some suggestions: 1) Timed entry. It is FAR TOO CROWDED, making the experience not relaxing. 2) A Nordic spa typically encourages "no talking." I understand if this is a bit much for most guests, but there should be some spaces where talking is discouraged. Sadly, we were looking for a relaxing experience and left rather disappointed.
I met a group of ladies out for a spa day this weekend. Had a Nordic massage by Rhule. He was fantastic. Highly recommend. The spot has beautiful walkways through the trees with barrel hot tubs and dry saunas scattered amongst them. You can sit in and stare up at the sky. It was raining a little bit on us which did not damper the experience at all. It was a little highlight. They have multiple sauna types and cold water plunge pools. It's exhilarating going from the hot to the cold. Staff was very friendly. Had lunch at the spa. It's spendy, as you expect from a resort Hotel, but the portion sizes were good and they were all delicious. Everyone in my group is satisfied. No photos are allowed
Wonderful. Facility is very clean and well kept. Hot tubs, cold plunge, steam room, sauna. There is complementary water and hot tea. Salt scrub is included as well as towels, robes, and sandals/slides. No phones out by the tubs. You can go all day 9-9 or evening hours for a reduced price from 5-9. Highly recommend.
The Nordic Spa is an upscale outdoor sauna/spa experience fully immersed deep in the Alaskan mountains. It is large but not as large/diverse as I had hoped. There are 3 types of pool (hot, warm, cold) and these types are just repeated. Similarly, the sauna rooms are mostly at similar temperatures of being warm. For the price, somewhat expensive and not as diverse. The pricing option is misleading, as there are no re-entry. We purchased the all day pass which was $40 more expensive than the half-day pass assuming we could re-enter.
Spectacular spa facilities! This was a perfect way to spend a beautiful summer day. We booked a couples massage which was extremely relaxing and included a day pass to the spa grounds for hydrotherapy. The soaking pools are so relaxing with multiple temperature and I loved the various types of saunas. I could seriously spend all day here. My only regret is that I didn't check out of my hotel room at the Alyeska Resort before our 8:30am massage time. We had to leave the grounds to check out of the hotel and there is no re-entry after you leave. This is something I wish I knew and I wish the spa would have been cooperative of this to allow one re-entry knowing we were staying on site, had a very early massage appointment, and we needed to check out of our room. Regardless, we still had a great time and I'd highly recommend. The grounds are beautiful, the facilities are very clean, and I left feeling very relaxed.
