Checked availability of item online at Helensvale store. Website said “in stock”. Placed order online including payment in full, received an email confirming order and that would contact me to arrange collection “when in store” in 2 weeks. 2 weeks have passed without any contact from Amart. Called the number listed for Helensvale store and was answered by call centre whose representative says item will now not be available for another couple of weeks. This was a gift which will now not be available before Christmas. First and last time trying to purchase from this business.

Extremely disappointed with Amart Helensvale delayed delivery and poor communication. We placed a large order with Amart Helensvale on 10 August, paying a deposit on the day and then the remaining balance in October (over $5,000 total). At the time of purchase, we were told the items would arrive within a couple of months. It’s now December, and we’ve been informed that our 3-seater sofa was damaged, meaning our entire order has been pushed back again now not expected until January at the earliest. We understand accidents happen, but the lack of communication and the constantly changing timelines have been extremely disappointing. We paid in full and trusted the delivery timeframe we were given. Instead, we’ve been left waiting for months with no proactive updates from the store. For such a major purchase, we expected far better service and reliability. Really disappointed, and hoping no one else has to deal with the same experience. Justin M. Order #314-551060

Very disappointed with both the product quality and the customer service. The center support bar under the bed frame snapped, even though the bed is only used for 2–3 weeks per year. This is not “wear and tear” — it’s a clear weakness in the design and material. The metal is thin and simply not strong enough to support normal use. I called the Helensvale branch to request support, and the staff member on the phone was extremely unprofessional. He spoke aggressively, repeatedly cut me off, and refused to even let me explain the situation. He insisted it was “wear and tear” without listening, refused to provide his name, and then hung up on me. That’s not customer service. What makes this worse: the support bar cannot be purchased separately anywhere else — only through the manufacturer — which means I’m expected to replace the entire frame just to get a part that probably costs them less than $10 to make. We have two beds from eMart and both support bars broke in the exact same way. That’s not coincidence — that’s a manufacturing issue. Very poor product durability and very disappointing customer service. I would not recommend buying beds from here until they improve the quality of their support parts and train their staff to speak to customers with basic respect.

The process from start to finish has definitely been something. Probably one of the worst experiences I have had to date with any big box store. I wouldn’t recommend Amart from the initial purchase through to the run around situation I have experienced these last 4-5 weeks. For a national brand there policy and procedures are one of the worst experiences we have had in purchasing new goods. It’s a shame, I liked the initial experience however what was turned from a simple and easy process has not been that at all. Very frustrating and disappointing experience. The delivery team did a fantastic job they where above and beyond my expectations however the sales/ office side was lacking in my ability to want spend thounds in the future.
