American Electrical rewired an entire house for me. The house was a historic house located in Springfield. They managed to do the job without adding unnecessary holes in the wall. The work was extremely neat and the price was fair. Just recently, I hired them to come back again to install a 240 v plug. Once again they did not disappoint! Val and Julian did an excellent job! Val explained the pricing before they started. Both of these guys were very professional and didn't waste any time getting the job done right the first time. If you're looking to get some electrical work done this company will get the job done right the first time. They also do very neat and clean work which is a big deal to me.
Shocking Results!!! The American Electrical associates, Matt & Jessie, were able to fix all of my electrical issues. They were very professional and very honest. They actually told me how to save money. Shock! Mostly they did a super job!! Highly recommended. You will be glad you called them.
Just had a crew take amazing care of our house over the past 3 days. They showed up on time, were friendly and knowledgeable, and cleaned up everything at the end of each day. They fixed a ton of stuff for us! In a heartbeat I’d recommend them to everyone!! Thank you John and crew!!
I’ve used American Electrical Contracting several times at my business for larger projects and also at my home, and every time the service has been first class. Most recently, Ryan came out to help with an electrical issue and went above and beyond to get it fixed. He was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Trouble shooting was handled quickly, as was the fix. Always a five-star experience with this company — highly recommend Ryan and the whole team!
I used this company a few years ago to change out and upgrade my 200amp panel after receiving a friend’s recommendation. Then in 2023 I had them furnish and install all materials for a new 50amp circuit for my EV vehicle. Shortly after installation, after a few fast charges I noticed an electrical smell when charging the car. I couldn't identify anything hot but the car so I attributed the smell to the vehicle and set the charging speed down to 16amps. It wasn't until I recently was having garage work done that I unplugged the unit only to have the outlet come apart in my hand. (see pics) American Electric was called back and immediately noticed the NEMA 14-50R outlet was not industrial as the manufactures manual of ChargePoint Flex recommends. The charger was then hardwired directly to the panel, ironically as I had originally requested. The real disappointment came when American Electric charged me $512.60 to repair damage they created by installing a plug that could not handle the electric load. Looking at the wires and receptacle we were both very lucky that the house didn't catch on fire. I am now second guessing all of their work and am considering having my past work inspectioned or I may have to ask the City of Jacksonville inspection department to reinspect all my permitted work from this company. Those of you that are using a recepticle for your level II charger you vehicle better check the recepticle because I'm pretty sure that mine was not the only one installed by them.
