We did an extended family photo shoot with Amy and I would recommend her to anyone! She was such a professional but made us all feel so comfortable. And she did some sort of photography magic to actually get photos of our 1 year old smiling!!! We are so grateful to have found her (just from Google!) and will continue to hire Amy each year when we come back for this trip annually!

s a photographer myself, I was very intentional about who I chose to photograph our multigenerational family reunion. This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime gathering, and I couldn’t risk not getting the photos right. What immediately stood out about Amy was that she shares full sessions on her page—not just highlights—which gave me confidence she could handle a long shoot, work with multiple generations, and capture both posed moments and natural candids. Our main goal was to have one full family photo for my father to look back on. We’ve never had a gathering like this before, and having that moment documented was incredibly meaningful. Everything else was a bonus—and Amy delivered far beyond that. We honestly can’t pick a single favorite image. From a beautiful moment of my father and brother smiling together, to a stunning silhouette of the entire group connected in one frame, the photos tell a complete story. It was especially special to have each of the grandchildren photographed with their grandfather—an opportunity we may never have again. While we have many wonderful memories from the trip, these photos will be a lasting and sweet reminder. Amy navigated a wide range of personalities with ease and grace, keeping the session relaxed and enjoyable. Family traveled from all over the country to be there, and she captured it all beautifully. We are so grateful and couldn’t recommend her more highly.

We had such a wonderful experience working with Amy for our team retreat and branding shoot! From the start, she was incredibly punctual and prepared, making the entire process smooth and enjoyable. When the Beach Village Concierge at the Del referred us to Amy, and I looked at her portfolio. What caught my eye and initially impressed me was her unique use of natural light...I especially loved the photos she takes with the human reflections in the water. Our photo session was created to honor an incredible milestone - my Mom's 80th birthday. After my parents flew in from Dallas, we surprised her with an entire weekend of celebrations. Having these precious moments professionally captured was the perfect finale to our special time together. The photographs preserve not just images, but the joy and love we shared during this once-in-a-lifetime celebration, ensuring these cherished memories will live on for generations to come. When planning this family photo session, I had a vision for photos that would serve dual purposes - a Christmas card for our big family, but also a Christmas card for my Brother, Sis in Law and Luke and Rowan (my nephews). It was a "Gift to the entire family" as I saw it. I also envisioned my parents and family members turning the photos into a "statement piece" for our home (or my parents). The first thing that struck me with Amy was how easy it was to talk to her and how empathetic and personable she is. Additionally, Amy asks copious questions prior to the shoot...And these are VERY DETAILED questions. They ask things such as "What is your (childs) favorite color?" or "What gets them excited?" or "What are they into?" -- This all helps with the shoot and she comes prepared. Further, she asks questions about every family member. She asks every family member's name, relationship, "Gotchas", where they are from, etc. This shows and defines amy as showing genuine interest and empathy in her clients. It shows she cares. Implicitly. When she arrives, she calls everyone by name. She references familial relationships. She speaks with kindness. She is focused on keeping things moving and getting the best shot, but also very engaged in ensuring she connects with her audience. She makes sure everyone is being called by their name, that she captivates their attention, and is empathetic to someone in the group that might be having trouble. I highly recommend Amy for ANY shoot - she's a ROCKSTAR!!

We treasure our photos from Amy Gray Photography! Amy makes the experience so easy and she has the magic touch to make everything come together so quickly. She was also very accommodating with a last minute addition for our group. We look forward to future photo shoots with Amy when we visit San Diego.
