The service here is top notch and the lovely ice cream tender gave me the around the world of flavors considering my allergies. Then the flavors…. Omg if I could some how describe the vanilla and then the green tea cake in chamomile…. Go to an’s if you are in SD!!!
Got to try all the flavors before buying which opened our eyes to different options. They have 8 flavors that cycle out periodically. Love this place would definitely come back.
It has a lot of hype but I think it is worth it. It was some of the best icecream I have had in a long time and pretty much every flavor we tried was great. I ended up getting the two candy bar icecreams and you could tell the quality by the size and quality of the candybars and rings of carmel in the icecream. While it was deffinitly also the sweatest icecream I ever had, it wasnt too much. They said they had 600+ rotating flavors which is pretty wild. The line is pretty long even on a weekday evening and it goes slow since they let everyone try everything but that just means they take their time with you went you get your time. The price is pretty on par for high end icecream so its a bit on the high end but worth it. Overall a great spot.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had the Coppola, which is cookies and cream with Nutella, and the Newsboy, which is white chocolate and macadamia on a cone. Both were good and I’d come back to try more flavors. I just don’t really get the hype of it being called one of the best in the country. The gelato is good, but to me it wasn’t anything mind blowing. What really makes this place stand out is the presentation and the electronic repair shop theme, which comes off kind of bougie but fun. One thing I thought was cool is they give you a “tour,” meaning they’ll let you sample all the flavors before you pick. That’s why the line moves a little slower. But I do want to say the service was really nice. I dropped my gelato and they gave me a new one right away, no questions asked, which I really appreciated. Overall it’s a cool spot and worth checking out, but for me it’s more about the vibe than the gelato itself.
My hot tip for visiting is to show up as soon as they open 😂 I didn’t realize it opened at 12nn and I was there on the dot, so lo and behold, no line! Phew! And since I was the only one there, I was able to savor the little flavor tour more which was awesome. The flavors were all so tasty and somehow unique, I like that it’s a good mix between sweet flavors and more fruit-forward ones like the sorbets. I ordered the Crochet (vanilla, almond, cherry) and when I come back I already know I’d want to get Full Grain Leather (brookie, brown butter). Those two were soooo good! Also love the overall vibe and decoration of the place! And of course, the staff were warm and welcoming! ☀️
