Ordered matcha crepe cake for New Years and the portion came out perfect! The cake was fresh and the flavor of the matcha was genuine. Matcha lovers out there will appreciate the quality of that cake. I'll def order again for special occasions!
Pro: cakes are not too sweet Con: they don't have much flavor I had the tiramisu and Nutella. Nutella was the better of the two. The tiramisu tasted like an unflavored cream cake with just a touch of espresso and a dusting of cocoa powder. Nutella was a bit sweeter, and had a moderate flavor. At $12+tip+box per slice, the quality ought to be impeccable. $12 per slice and $108 per cake is close to the price of an MOF patisserie.
We got 3 slices: Hokkaido milk, Tiramisu, and Sesame. Ranking: Hoikkaido > Tiramisu > Sesame Tiramisu has strong coffee flavor and The sesame slice, I was a little disappointed that it didn't have much sesame flavors! only a slight tinge of sesame flavor and I could not really tell it was sesame. The Hokkaido was refreshing and interesting. I like the Hokkaido milk. The slice is pretty small for the price. But it is worth to give it a try.
Most delicious, delicate crepe cake I've ever had, way better than Lady M. You can tell there's so much thought and care into the recipes the moment you try the cream on the top. On the pistachio crepe cake, just the cream only was already floral and nutty, the cake itself was flavorful, perfectly balanced with bold nutty fragrance and mild sweetness. Each layer of the black sesame crepe cake was rich, nutty, and earthy with a toasty aftertaste. Tiramisu crepe cake had a wonderfully strong rum flavor between each layer.
Exceptional high end patisserie. We really enjoyed the unique flavors and textures of the crepe cakes, chocolate tarts, and other amazing bites. Truly a special way to celebrate anniversary, birthday, or any special day. Conveniently located near San Jose we enjoyed quickly picking up our desserts while picking up family from the airport. Food was made on time, packaging was perfect, upscale, and elegant, and the flavors were unique and rich. Would recommend Anton's to anybody searching for a creative and high quality experience anywhere in the Bay Area.
