I brought an antique miner’s cut diamond here expecting expertise. What I got instead was a masterclass in confidence without competence. They examined the stone under a microscope—so yes, they had the tools—and somehow still failed. After the inspection, I was told it was “fake” with zero explanation, no technical reasoning, no gemological standards referenced, and no documentation. Just a lazy verdict tossed out like an opinion, not a professional conclusion. A microscope is useless if the person looking through it doesn’t understand antique cuts. Miner’s cut diamonds are supposed to be irregular, asymmetrical, and imperfect by modern standards. Treating them like mall-jewelry stones isn’t expertise—it’s ignorance. This felt less like an evaluation and more like guesswork wrapped in attitude. If this is how they handle anything outside mass-produced modern stones, they should not be offering authentication services at all. If you own antique, historical, or genuinely valuable jewelry: do not bring it here unless you enjoy being dismissed by someone who mistakes equipment for knowledge. Embarrassing experience. Zero trust. 16g 14k gold with a .5 miner cut European diamond. You guys fail

BUYER BEWARE: You guys really screwed up. I brought in a 14k 16g ring with a .5 carat miners cut DIAMOND SET IN IT. You told me it was fake after looking under a microscope. You have 1 job and you failed. You are not trustworthy and offered ne $400 for said ring. Diamond is an antique miners cut from 1800's. I don't and never will trust you again. Terrible mistake This is not about your low ball offer. This is about you SCREWING UP AND TELLING ME MY 1869 Miners cut stone was not real after you looked at it with your microscope. This post is about how you totally screwed up and cannot be trusted. As I stated-- you have 1 job and you failed. #BUYERBEWARE A RARE EUROPEAN HANDCUT DIAMOND YOU COULD NOT ID... YOU GUYS SUCK BAD

Our family has loved Argo and Lehne for years. This fall, I brought an heirloom ring in that belonged to my mother in law. The style and fit was not something I could wear comfortably. Rachel was incredible. She listened to me and got to know me and what I was thinking about using the diamonds for. She created the most beautiful ring for me using 7 of the diamonds. I wear it every day. Rachel used more diamonds to make a pair of earrings for my daughter and another pair of earrings for my granddaughter. I have a few diamonds left. I will definitely ask Rachel to use them to once again create something special and beautiful for me and my family. Rachel and Argo and Lehne….the best! Thank you.

I worked with Andy during the process of purchasing an engagement ring. We ended up going with a ring designed by one of his coworkers and I couldn’t be more happier with the choice. The ring is One of a kind that makes it even more special for my fiancé. I loved learning about the Cut clarity and color and went with The best for my budget. I would highly recommend Andy or anybody that works at Argo and Lehne when shopping for jewelry.

I had the pleasure of working with Andy at Argo & Lehne to engrave a special watch for my husband, and the entire experience was truly outstanding. Andy went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect. Throughout the process, he reached out proactively whenever there was anything he thought I might want to adjust, and his communication and attention to detail were exceptional. I absolutely love the final result and genuinely cannot recommend him enough. I will most definitely be returning in the future. Thank you so much, Andy!!
