Loved the two day abstract art workshop run by Ochre Lawson in the light and airy church hall at Birchgrove. It gave me new ways to look at abstract art as well as practical steps for the creative process.

I've been doing the painting and drawing classes for a year now and love them! My drawing and painting skills have massively improved since starting. Ochre is a wonderful tutor and really helps you push past what you think you're capable of. Highly recommend her classes.

I have been attending Art Class Sydney for a number of years now and find the classes very informative, stimulating and fun. The classes have a relaxed atmosphere with students having varying interests and levels of experience. Gabrielle is very generous with her knowledge and will step you through painting techniques and theory using creative exercises. Her knowledge of the art scene, keen eye and positive energy encourages you to experiment, develop your skills and gain confidence, whether your focus is abstract or realism, acrylic or oil painting. I have been going to classes at Art Class Sydney for nearly two years and love it! My skills, knowledge and art appreciation has improved dramatically over this period. Gabrielle varies the classes to ensure that they are challenging for all levels. Also, I have met and made great friends through the class with similar interests. I would highly recommend attending classes if you have an interest in broadening your art skills.

I have been doing Thursday nights now for a couple of years and always find them informative and fun! The classes can be as structured or unstructured as you like and Gabrielle is always on hand to offer advice and assistance. I like the approach which though informal has lots of interesting exercises to get the creative juices flowing. My artwork has improved heaps since going to the glasses even though I was a virtual novice at the start. There is also the chance to meet and see the work other students produce which is also fun. Thoroughly recommend these classes.
